Nice to know the new super lawyer is also just shooting into the darkness hoping he'll hit something worthwhile. Got to love them sending out more preservation letters while they can't even comply with basic fucking discovery themselves, what a bunch of maggots. They're trying to pull what I suspected they were up to from when they asked for confidentiallity: they plan to muddy the waters and create a narrative around certain people and websites who have made it hard for kickvic to maintain any sort of narrative online, by attacking the source they can try and damage any information that came to or from that source.

Good luck getting anything worthwhile out of most of those people and even better luck getting anything at all out of Nick if he chooses to fight it. Also am I reading that wrong or are they asking the KC guy for his interactions with Ty, Vic and Nick? I do remember that they asked BHBH to provide them with the conversation between Chris and Soye despite their own client having access to that conversation by virtue of being the one who wrote those messages, looks to me like hope to spin the KC crap some how.

I almost hope they go after Nick. He just wastes their time and money while he defends himself for free, and he gets paid back in lolz and superchats.

they've completely set fire to MoRon's defense
I may have missed something but what are you basing this on?

MoRonica, please try to officially bring the farms into this whole mess
I am ready to write a very rude sworn-statement affidavit about how badly Monica treats Soye. It's inhuman to only have the guy watch 100% of the time - even if he's so dumb he s actually friends with Shane out of his own free will!

Does Nick have any sort of obligation to go all the way to Texas because MoRonica wants him to? He'll probably decide to go regardless of having to or not, just to help the case but I'm curious whether he has full freedom to say "fuck that, I'm not involved in this other than as a commentator" and just not show up. What would be the legal repercussions, if any?

Like it doesn't sound reasonable that they could force someone on New York to show up for a deposition on the West Coast just because of a piece of paper. If someone can explain to me how this works I'll be very thankful!

No. They have to come to him. That's why they're citing the Minnesota court rules. So they consider that a good expenditure of their money.

It's seriously a question of whether they even want to file a motion to quash this bullshit or just say fuck it and let them go hog wild.

Ty could file to quash it in all likelihood.

For one thing, how is it relevant to any claim or defense in the case? They aren't suing Nick. They aren't saying "we're not liable for calling this guy a rapist for months because some other guy said some shit." What's the defense this is relevant to?

Nothing that's what.

They really grasping at straws in the darkness while hyperventilating, aren't they? How come a defense team of anywhere from 3 to 5 lawyers cannot come up with a sensible plan this far into the game?

This doesn't sound like a productive course of action. They probably would have been better off filing a TCAP right off the bat instead of hiring 3 law firms and playing stupid games. Ron must have a really tiny penis to be so bent out of shape over Nick.

I guess since I don't pay attention to law stuff at all outside what's shown in crime docs and on the news, but is ridiculous stuff like this common in cases? Is this a normal lawsuit or is it an exceptional one with exceptional over the top antics? I know lawsuits are expensive, but this seems so extreme.

Ah, so Depositions DO have to be relevant to a claim or defense in the case?

It seems like they're desperately fishing for something they can go after the GFM with. Do they not understand that the money has already been turned over to BHBH? Getting the GFM shut down:

1. Wouldn't stop BHBH from being paid
2. Would just cause Nick to start another crowd funding campaign elsewhere and we'd drive it up to 180k again just to fucking spite those little shits.

I guess Shane Holmberg isn't the only exceptional individual but most KickVic side has no idea how the court system works or on second thought, I don't think they even possess common sense. Their mental faculty has destroyed itself probably in 2016. I'm starting to think they might have genuine cognitive problems. They are destroying their own livelihood over a stupid moral crusade. I wonder they realise they will go broke soon if they keep playing this game?

these bitches be dumb.

tcpa was filed. all discovery was stayed until a hearing on it is heard..... so they can't actually deposed/supeona nick at all. they literally wasted money.

well... more likely nick just has a lot more time to produce documents but the rules are clear. he ain't getting deposed until the tcpa is heard. at least as I understand the rules of engagement. if i'm wrong fine, but let me make a prediction based on my limited knowledge and the fact my friend pointed out that casey has basically thrown ethics to the wind.

He's going to try to force the supeona and deposition through despite the TCPA rules being very clear and when called out try to spin it as "that only works when its for you" and try anyway. He'll only stop when the judge or a minnesota judge tells him to stop it.

also, casey is going to do everything in his power to shut that gofundme down..... except he's failed to realize something. that money? it's already gone. it's in a bank account somewhere, where they can't touch a fraction of a penny nor can gofundme. further, nick can just delete it and make a new one and set it up to link to the old account......... and do that ad infinitum. or have someone else do it.

these fucks don't realize that with the IOLOTA account (or whatever its called) having money funneled into it, vic has effectively created an impossible-to-stop funding machine fueled purely by hatred of them and the only way to stop it is to vanish.

when this fact dawns on them, the meltdown will be spectacular. I could be wrong in which case dumb rate me but that's the situation as I understand it.

Man they don't care anymore how much this m,akes them look like outright scumbags to try and go after Vic's monetary support.

Of course not. It's their only defensive move that makes any kind of sense. everything else is just bluster to the wind. I predicted they would and lol and behold they did it.

how sad is it that an autist with only a 10th grade criminal justice class under his belt can read casey like an open book?

note: I made the prediction here but technically my friend made it. he's very interested in the case as he's an anime/gaming junkie.

Which is why they are going kamikaze with this ploy. They know they can't keep doing this forever and if they can knockout Vic's reserves, they think they have a better chance. All the while they are draining their own funds. They are that stupid desperate.
