Now I just want to see the alleged budgets for all of their movies even more, since if Phelous is honest (I'm pretty inclined to believe him too), then a lot of their stuff technically was likely pro-bono on their ends, and the people barring the Chicago Outfit probably didn't see that much money, if any from it.

I knew it was pretty much Doug's show, but boy howdy, I didn't expect it to this degree. I knew you'd have to be mental to make this your full job, but this reinforces it for me.

Damn. I've heard rumors that CA wasn't all sunshine and flowers behind the scenes, but getting fired for being AFK for 15 minutes? Jesus christ.

Good riddance. The site was really beginning to bloat post Suburban Knights. Phelan always made jabs at To Boldly Flee, but didn't know the background to it. This paints those in a whole new light.
 
meh, my fav reviewers these days are sfdebris, redlettermedia, and brad jones. RLM will be unaffected by the implosion of channel autism, and SFdebris/brad jones are easily able to maintain an audience on their own

Oh if Brad evers ends up leaving then CA is done. Not right away of course but thats a massive number of hits gone. I CA knows that and are willing to suck Brads dick as much as he wants because they don't want him leaving

Also to bring this back to wrestling since I'm a nerd CA is apparently handling it's talent like WCW did and everyone but the either the newcomers or the hardcore main stays are leaving.

I used to be big fans of the Nostalgia Critic and AVGN but their quality has dropped over the past few years. The only Reviewer I watch anymore thats entertaining is Brad Jones.

On a side note does anyone remember the spax3 shitstorm?

Wasn't spax3 a huge Sonic fan that responded to criticism really badly? That name sounds familiar.

He was a game reviewer who got pissed over some guy who was voice acting 4kids sonic the hedgehog and responded to commentaries by filing false DCMA's on YouTube until he was driven off the site. This was back around 2008-2009. I don't know much about what he's up to today but you can read his Encyclopedia Dramatica page.

Last thing I read related to Spax was on 8chan's /Pone/. He apparently interviewed some VA from MLP as far as I know. One comment said it was cringeworthy.

You seem to keep a good track on CA, i found out the reason of NChicks leaving but nothing about Phelous, is there any good ol' drama behind it? I can't find jack shit about it... Not that he was a favourite, i didn't care much for the bootleg zone, but he could dig up some insane animated "films" wich i appreciated.

I was actually under the impression he was one of the saner people involved in the site - if it hadn't been for him, Doug would have likely have accidentally killed the site four years ago by posting a "HOW DARE YOU NOT LIKE MY AWESUM VIDEO?!?!" rant after the justifiably bad reaction to "Let's Play Bart's Nightmare" - but I guess he's just as much a dickbag as any other self-imagined bigshot producer.

Apparently Phelous was going to leave anyway, but the clusterfuck around Lupa caused him to accelerate his departure.
