They're probably banking on the rest of the world joining in on the purge if any right-wingers put up a fight. America is supposed to be a far-right anomaly (because only Western countries have politics) in their minds, so "Loonie left" there is "normal" everyone else.
Arent right and far-right parties winning elections?
That's implicitly why I don't believe it was the actual purpose. He announced it, and then barely a few hours later agreed to postpone it to work with the Democrats on border enforcement. The Democrats now have 14 days to work with him and his administration to try and come to a compromise, or the deportations begin. He's going to be Tweeting about it
every single day too, forcing the MSM to talk about it and bringing this all into a nation-wide focus.
If they work with him, their "base" gets pissed off because they turned around and started bringing a hammer down on illegals and it just proves that there actually
is a border crisis. If they refuse to work with him, the deportations are on their heads because they were given (yet again) the opportunity to come to the table and refused to do anything about the border crisis, making the general public pissed off because they flouted yet
another opportunity to do something other than scream at their own asses, for once.
There's no winning play.
Divorced from reality. Completely. There isn't a shred of sanity left there.
Here's the timeline of how this outrage narrative about the border ramped up.
PolitiFact is a fact-checking website that rates the accuracy of claims by elected officials and others on its Truth-O-Meter.
www.politifact.com
An Obama aide tweeted the photos of kids in cages. He blamed Trump. The photo was from the Obama era.
Then the media started the, "It doesn't matter when it started, Trump's doing more of it and it's wrong and immoral."
There was a little sanity for a BIT...
The Department of Health and Human Services reportedly has as many as 10,852 undocumented children in its custody.
www.newsweek.com
The title that the url belies: "Obama Held More Than Double the Number of Children in Shelters Compared to Trump White House"
For a BIT even Obama's people tried to rein in the outrage.
On Fox News Sunday, former DHS Secretary Jeh Johnson said that under the Barack Obama administration, they did detain some children alone and some families together, two policies for which Donald Trump has been widely blamed. Johnson told host Chris Wallace that they "thought it was necessary...

On Fox News Sunday, former DHS Secretary Jeh Johnson said that under the Barack Obama administration, they did detain some children alone and some families together, two policies for which Donald Trump has been widely blamed.
Johnson told host Chris Wallace that they "thought it was necessary at the time," and that it is still is.
"Without a doubt the images, and the reality, from 2014, just like 2018, are not pretty," Johnson said. "We expanded it, I freely admit it was controversial, we believed it was necessary at the time, I still believe it is necessary to remain a certain capability for families."
But then there was an election coming and the Democrats had a big issue. There was no room here for any honesty. And certainly no wall and increased funding.
And that's when you heard them all say, "Manufactured crisis." "No crisis." "There is no crisis on the border."
But there has been a crisis on the border and all the talk of amnesty and walls being immoral and "what even are borders" and "no human is illegal" gave rise to a system in central and south America where people were seeing commercials on tv in their home nations telling them to come to America with their kids because they would not be turned away.
Now... a bunch of kids had come already unaccompanied and were held in detention. Some of them released to family in the states with permission of parents. We have lost track of some of them.
And even CNN had some sanity last May about it.
Recent reports claim the US government lost track of nearly 1,500 immigrant children amid confusion about whether they were separated from their families at the border. The truth is more complicated.
www.cnn.com
In short... these kids, who disappeared BEFORE we decided that we couldn't have open borders and would hold illegal crossers in detention... were likely given to family members who were in the country illegally and ... whoopsie... they have disappeared!
But of course the bad media made it seem like "okay... there's bad press, so get yourself to America with some kids and they are going to let you right in!"
If the news couldn’t get any worse from the crisis at the southern border of the United States, details are emerging of how traffickers are using kidnapped children to help others gain entry as “families.” Evidence is now overwhelming that human traffickers are using “child recycling rings” to...
metrovoicenews.com
And boom! In May we find out that people are kidnapping kids in order to get into the USA! That's why you've heard that DHS is sometimes doing DNA testing to see if the kids actually belong to the adults bringing them in!
Obviously, post-election it's only getting worse. People are crossing in record numbers because they know there's a crisis and we can't deal with it.
The $4.5 billion in emergency funds would help federal agencies deal with an influx of migrants and asylum seekers at the Mexican border.

Two months ago the Adminstration asked for extra funding to care for the people in detention. But Congress can't be arsed to do it. It's almost as though they are ENJOYING the mileage they are getting out of facilities that are overwhelmed and overcrowded.
We heard and were OUTRAGED that the Trump Administration was using an old base that had interned Japanese Americans to hold these illegals. But Obama had done the same.
People are outraged that there are areas with tents to hold illegals.
A small Texas farming community near El Paso with no traffic lights, a cotton gin and two dollar stores has found itself playing the uncomfortable host to a U.S. government tent city for children suspected of illegal border crossings.
www.reuters.com
They are air conditioned tents equipped with bunk beds.
Now that AOC has brayed about "concentration camps" everyone's going full bore trying to insist that the administration are Nazis and she accused them today of "starving kids" on the border. Hey, here's a thought, when the government tells you that money will run out in June after they ask for it in May...maybe give them some damned money to take care of the problem you have created and fail UTTERLY to address.
Because NO... the USA isn't "responsible" for all of these illegals because we somehow ruined every nation south of us. Most of these people will NOT qualify for the asylum they claimed after the crossed the border illegally and got caught.
They are not fleeing "climate change". I haven't seen a single one say, "The weather's unlivable down there!"
Most crossed a LOT of safe harbor countries in order to self-select the USA.
Chad Prather said that nothing is a "concentration camp" that you can completely avoid by simply walking the other direction.
350 Congolese recently came in and were released into San Antonio. They flew into Ecuador because there are no visa requirements and came to the USA. I sure don't know how we are the first safe harbor for THEM!
It seems more like people from all around the world are discovering that HEY... if you can get across the Southern Border of the USA, you are home free.
And after all, our Democrats are saying that barriers are immoral and our government is basically Nazi because we have the same rules we had during the Obama Era. But everything has changed now in the space of just a few years. They never INTENDED to deal with this crisis. They want it. They need it and they are going to exploit it, the public be damned.
And they are right back to their old tricks.
