Phalloplasties are grafted over the clitoral hood (which is why they're so high up on the groin compared to normal male penises) in order to preserve the ability to orgasm. It's generally pretty successful.

Huh! The More You Know(tm). Thanks for telling me. I just can't imagine that being very successful, personally - no ability to have direct contact? Ugh - but I guess at least that's one less thing for those women to worry about, besides all the health problems caused by long-term testosterone abuse and the side effects of elective hysterectomy and double mastectomy, not to mention the problems finding a partner who's willing to go near that weird-looking stuffed sock sewed to your crotch...

That reminds me of an article i saw some time ago about surgery for men that suffered penile mutilation or accidents by using grafts of skin from the arm and a hydraulic system to make the thing hard. As you could expect it, it wasn't the best looking peen but it definetly looked more appealing than that one. And it still retained sensibility.
