She was "adopted" by an older woman named Madge at one point, who ended up ghosting her, and she doesn't seem to have much of a relationship with her weird-ass Trump-supporting immigrant dad Zoran.

This behavior is the reason people leave her. She's lucky Gina is still willing to talk to her.
 
I used to watch her with some sort of morbid curiosity, and a little pity as I too suffer with serious mental health issues. But seeing that live from last night I actually shouted 'fuck off' at my phone, I couldn't watch any more of her bullshit.

She's 100% started picking at her wounds (which were so nicely bandaged a few hours before) and probably did more damage than she intended. She needs to be restrained and fucking locked up for her own safety, or y'know just leave her to get sepsis and die. Whatever comes first.
 
Jesus Christ, she is so mentally ill. She needs so much help and supervision that most societies don't have on tap because this is such a rare condition and Kelly's one of the worst of an already small subset. She genuinely needs to be inpatient and monitored closely 24/7 with a dedicated staff member who can respond quickly when she begins to self-harm. But few mental health facilities have that kind of one-on-one care available. She's not done anything illegal so she can't be jailed until her legs heal. There's very little any mental health care system in the world can do for her, outside of possibly Scandinavian mental health care. And even that would be a stretch.

If Kelly really has a therapist who responded to that pic by telling her that she sees her heart, as opposed to, you know, the absolutely appalling self harm on her legs and the gravity of what Kelly is doing, that therapist needs to be put on a wound care shift for a month or two. But that sounds about as made up as anything Kelly says.

This is one of those moments wherein I feel bad for Kelly. Yeah, she did this to herself, but it's undeniable she is one of the most mentally ill cows on KF. But my pity is tempered by reality and that's why I feel bad. I look at this fucking mess and wish she could get comprehensive and sustained mental health care. But she's one person. How much can any society be asked to do for one woman, one woman who has about as strong of a chance of going to the moon as she does of recovering. To treat her would require an extraordinary sum of money and resources, resources that could be used on people with treatable disorders. Kelly has already squandered more medical resources than any ten of us reading here will need in a lifetime. How much more can her community be required to give her?
 
I'm failing to understand why she'd do this to herself? Just for attention? To fulfill a deep mommy/daddy issue from her childhood? I just cannot understand this. I am imagining in my head doctors saying no we cannot give you meds or treat you... so (just like you see in movies) she goes home and vicious rips into her legs. "That'll show 'em". I really felt bad for her long ago -- before I really started to see how sick she is. Also realizing that she puts Instagram before actual treatment. I am in the States, and have 0 familiarity with medicine in Canada -- but can't she be held because she is such a risk to herself? I know a guy who was showing suicidal signs, and there was immediately a court order to hold him for 72 hours, and then they told him he had to stay in this rehab facility for another 6 weeks. Long rant to basically say -- why is she not committed and not on some strong mental meds. I don't think she needs pain meds as much as she needs some sort of mental health medication
 
Before we feel too much pity for Kelly, I think it's important to remember:

-She lies constantly; the truth is an enigma with her, from day to day lies to enormous ones like writing up fake assessments from doctors and posting them on LC,
-She has impersonated her sister and others online for years in order to keep threads just like this one alive and well, and unnecessarily involved Gina in her bullshit,
-She used gallons of blood from donors as a result of her obvious blood-letting, stealing resources from those who really need it.

Yes, she's severely mentally ill, but she's also an asshole.
 
Honestly, in my opinion, if you are given millions of dollars in public funds meant to help you (Canadian medical system) and you constantly and consistently intentionally abuse that shit and waste it, requiring more, it ought to be considered a fraud. I understand she's mentally ill, I get that, so let the punishment be increasingly large tickets or something until she can finally be held for not complying with the law. Tbh, she would then get inpatient help and it would cost taxpayers a LOT less. It's way easier, for obvious reasons, to involuntary hold someone who committed a crime than it is someone who is mentally ill.

If you recieved any other kind of government funding, you can be sure you'd get charged with a crime if you abuse the system. This should be no different. Especially since the numbers here are significantly higher than someone's $600/month welfare check.

Also it would just be fucking hilarious to hear how she spins "I got a $250 ticket for wasting the system's time."

She was on high doses of Dilaudid and Morphine for what, a year? Opiate addicts develop notoriously low pain tolerance after they've built up drug tolerance - they cannot handle even the slightest amount of pain.

Kelly lambasts people who do this for attention and drug seekers, because it keeps her from getting help and medication she needs.

I am former law enforcement, and I completely agree with this. Not to mention, I am super against the criminal defense of mentally ill. I feel like people use it as a cop out. I didn't mean to exploit the medical system to gain attention...It was the little kid in me talking. swear it wasn't me. Yea...fuck that. No, dog, you know what you're doing.

I just saw her instagram post, despite the insta-outage. She's sitting there crying, dripping blood. I am not a medical professional, so I don't know, but if you are a constant river of blood down your shin, isnt that a bigger issue of blood clotting ailments? Also, if I saw some monster coming my way, dripping blood, I'd sure as shit be looking for a fucking hazmat suit and getting TF out of there. So yes Kelly -- "where's my psychiatrist" probably fleeing TF away. Bandage yourself up for god sake.

Why? She's fucking crazy. She a manipulator and a liar and learned early that being ill = attention and a free pass to be lazy. Thats it.
 
Oh yeah, that leg is proper fucked. The swelling is horrendous.

Just look at this picture and remember that she did that to herself. All of it. She had no issues with her legs before she began picking at them. According to her story, she showed up to her psychiatrists office in shorts with blood running down her freshly picked legs and I am shocked her psychiatrist went with her to an appointment instead of getting her committed ASAP.

She's going to end up losing more than her legs when she dies of a self-induced infection.
 
No way she's not losing that leg eventually. She'll probably be down an arm too by the time someone gets around to finally having her committed. Is she even worth saving at this point though? Other people on here have already mentioned this but she's a drain on resources that clearly gets some sort of satisfaction from her dysfunction.
Can it be argued that there comes a time when someone can just be declared a lost cause that the state doesn't owe anything to?

I’m curious what she’s done to it, because this kind of swelling would not come from just picking at the skin unless she’s got some kind of serious infection as a result. I’m more inclined to believe she’s rubbing shit in her wounds again. It also wouldn’t come from rejecting skin grafts, which Kelly’s are definitely NOT. Look how beautifully the edges healed. They healed as well as any skin graft could, but leave it to Kelly to reverse all of the hard work the doctors and nurses put in.

That’s actually the thing which is most unbelievable to me. Kelly’s skin grafts took wonderfully. They looked as good as skin grafts could possibly look. Doctors spent hours upon hours of their time on her, making sure everything went smoothly. And of course as soon as she got home, she continued to pick. Her lack of respect for the people who addressed her suffering, self-inflicted or otherwise (and we all know it’s the former) is mind-boggling to me.
If it wasn’t clear she was picking before, it should be painfully obvious now.
