Banjo Kazooie represents an important part of my childhood. I'm very happy.

Spiral Mountain stage looks fun. All the classic spots and Grunty is flying around on her broomstick. I see Bottles too. I'm happy for Grant Kirkhope. Hopefully it's a large list of tunes unlike Final Fantasy.

Rare definitely seems to be more cooperative than Square Enix.
 
The only downside to a new character being in Smash is the constant saltiness of people who probably spend most of their free time on r/memes wanting Waluigi to be a fighter. The meme has been dead for like 5 years now, and it never seems like it will end, and whenever an interesting character/s are announced, they flood pretty much every discussion about Smash, whether it's someone reacting to the announcement or infecting discord servers with absolute cancer. Also, as a side-note, the announcement trailer for Banjo and Kazooie made me cream my jeans.
 
Did people actually think Microsoft (because I guess they're considering him a Microsoft rep) would want Steve as their rep over Banjo? I thought that shit was a meme.

Enough weird Discord troons clamored for it anyway for some reason. They were spamming /v/ for months with their shit and the creator of the infamous "Grotesque Steve" model even made a short video of Steve raping Banjo. I don't even know.

A lot of troons like Minecraft nonetheless and their solution is to act like Notch has nothing to do with it, which is why it's a joke that "Hatsune Miku made Minecraft, not Notch" (some efamous troon Miku twitter came up with it)

Sakurai is weird enough to entertain the idea; Minecraft was a hot thing 10 years ago that hasn't fizzled away entirely while Banjo Kazooie hasn't had a game in quite a while and a lot of people did not like the last one. I even thought MS forgot about the franchise.
 
I like the Hero character in smash as you can play various heroes from the DQ series without clogging the roster. Also I like that Nintendo had a delayed announcement for Banjo Kazooie to both bring great news and generate a lot of salt at the same time.

by the way guys, do you know dragon quest's artist, Akira Toriyama? he's also the artist for Dragon ball and Chrono Trigger.

I'm fine with Dragon Quest getting in, but I'm unhappy about Banjo. Unpopular opinion of the century, but I really don't like Banjo-Kazooie and seeing them here is just disappointing. It's only slightly better than Minecraft Steve. If we had to have a miracle fighter I'd much rather have seen Geno or (especially)

I'm guessing that was just a mistake because there are only two slots remaining on the site now. They also moved the DLC characters to the top of the page.

They need to focus their energy into getting Akira Toriyama to do a Chrono Trigger miniseries before he dies. Just need 16 episodes retelling the scenario of the first game. It'll be great.
