I would unironically buy quartz if the quartz pack are at least half the price. I would not pay for a quartz pack or on any other gacha, where it cost the same as a full game.
incidentally, if I am going to buy quartz, i would do it in the GSSR banner, since there's not really much of 5* casters, so the chance of getting Tamamo is high, and if not, the worst i can get is Sanzang/Da Vinci or Illya, best if I get Tamamo/Merlin/Waver

Every person i knew that said that end with Scheherazade, even when she looks cool and stuff she is mechanically bad, one of the worst SSR casters because her gimmick cripple her

The next gssr in na is everyone in a hot pot so you'll be waiting for a long time for a class based gssr.
I like Tamamo since Extra/Extella. Never mind that if you don't mind stalling for thousands of turns, she is a must for the ultimate stalling team of Mash/Merlin/Tamamo (you can replace Merlin with Jeanne or Waver)
not really interested in buying quartz anyway. too expensive, and never had a sale.

I had a problem the first time i got her because i believed she was a offensive caster just like in Extra but she become the absolute queen of arts after she got her third skills buff, back in the day Tamamo was bad, just a normal SSR caster that did not have anything good in her toolkit, she was buffed like three times already raising her to the kingdom that only memelin,weaver and skadi rule with impunity
and we still dont get Prototype merlin
Sales of quartz only happen in the anniversary to entice you to buy it to roll the paid gacha

I mean, next year has a guaranteed banner in which you can choose which class to roll for. So you could just try to get her there, if you don't have her at that point . Plus it's only 15 quartz, if I'm not mistaken.

She also non limited and can spook you at anytime. The trick is rolling in another limited banner and she'll come when you least want her to.
at least I get to laugh at someone with a worse luck than me.
Anyway, looking at my list of non event SR/SSR, which are Emiya, hag fox, Emiya Assasin (rolled from Tamamo banner), Jack, Gorgon, Martha, Lancelot, 3 Lancer Elly, Shuten (rolled from Rashomon banner) Mary, SmartCat and Nero.... All are basically, smug, meme or assholes. maybe the game is trying to tell me something....
I guess I shouldn't have been greedy. when I was spooked by Shuten, I should have held back rolling for Tamamo.

I got Moriarty, finally. It only took me around all the 50 quartz + 14 tickets since the Shinjuku re-run banner started.

Eh, it was to be expected I suppose. Started playing this a couple of months ago and I feel like i've had fairly good luck up until now with getting 4 SSRs. Guess me getting blown out on one of these banners was bound to happen.

Well you have the comfort that she is not limited but a little warning even if you get her alone she is not very good, you have to use her as a spammer of Art cards because she is not offensive and she can't tank like Merlin, Waver or Skadi she can homewer drag a battle if you have her first skill at 10 (Merlin has Illusion that give you Invul for 1 turn perfect to tank NP, Waver has a defensive skill and Skadi can give you party wide evade)
that's ok, that's what support Merlin are for.
if I got her, she can form the perfect stalling team with Mash, (support) Merlin and Tamamo. Mash has 2 arts, Merlin has 3 arts, and Tamamo has 3 arts cards, so there is high probability of arts chain 2/3 turns before the deck refresh. Mash can use defense up, and her NP will give huge defense boost and some attack up, Merlin can buff the attack of the team, and his NP can regenerate health and 5% NP, Tamamo can reduce the NP of the enemy and her NP recovers health and charges 25 NP and reduce skill cooldown by 1.
With proper setup, you can buff yourself and keep casting Merlin and Tamamo NP to keep buffing yourself and reduce the skill cooldown, and can keep preventing the enemy to cast his/her NP. the only downside is if the enemy has ignore invincible and this stalling team takes a lot of time to kill bosses with huge HP
