I thought it would be nice to change things up for a bit after all of the recent controversy.

The emails span a period between July 24th 2014 and August 2nd, 2014. They are pretty much self-explanatory.

Love how he avoids the question/issue by answering it, all "uurhghg we need money for food and bills!"
Thats the point you fuckin idiot, why are you spending it on Lego then

"Don't give me doubt on my honesty"
Even in text the tone of that is so snippy and condescending.

I guess this sort of explains why Chris isn't throwing around Barb's teeth lately while begging. Like any small child, he's afraid of someone possibly scolding him.

"Corn sake" Wut.

I've heard it used a few times when I was growing up in the rural South, especially among the elderly. It's a way to say "for God's sake," without the blasphemy. Chris probably picked it up from Borb.

I was also wondering why we haven't heard about the teeth in recent updates . . . Chris probably retired it when he realized the sympathy well had run dry.

I would love to see Chris's next response after this. I'm curious to know if he tried to rationalize away that eBay spending, or if he tried to make up a lie that he thought she'd be dumb enough to believe. Or just blame it on trolls like always.

Also, even though they're talking about finances, he still tosses in the fact that he's "invisible" in public. He really, really wants to be the main character that all us NPCs are immediately drawn to. Sometimes I doubt the idea that he just doesn't understand that people not talking to him out of the blue is normal, though; I sometimes think he DOES know that it's normal, and what he really resents is that he's just an average joe, not the special snowflake wants to be recognized as.

Not exactly sure what to say here. Chris is being his usual charming self when confronted on money issues, of course. I really don't have a lot of pity for Barb though. Are the tugboat funds still flowing through her hands? If so, the whole "my mom needs her teeth did" excuse is a lot of horseshit. At this point, get the woman a goddamn partial and be done with it.

I love how Chris assumes that the second half of the month is rough for everybody.

You know that he lives in his own tiny fantasy world, but these little reminders really drive it home. He's on a tugboat and gets his one paycheck early, spends it all the second it hits his palms, and then spends the next few weeks scraping to get by. And because that's his life, it must be how everyone else lives too. It's actually enough to make you feel sorry for him, in a way. He was born and raised without any empathy or working theory of mind. There is no world full of people around Christian Weston Chandler. Just a bunch of noises and shapes that get in the way of his most recent desire. It's gotta be extremely lonely inside that skullet of his.

Locally in person, I still remain mostly Publically invisible to everyone outside my house here as far as I can tell.
It sounds like Chris is saying that he'd been trying to stay incognito when leaving the house, and that he was relieved he'd successfully kept a low profile.

Is it possible that the Christmas 2014 pepper-spray attack was the logical conclusion of paranoia that had been slowly brewing here, five months prior?

For years Chris has known that the people he "meets" online are often trolls; this is why he'd insisted for a while that he'd talk to people only in person. It's why he insists on meeting girls from dating sites in person NOW, NOW NOW. It's why he made a point of arguing that Catherine was not fake because he had "in-person met". He's learned that trolls almost never show up in person.

Is it possible that Chris now believes that the dang, dirty trolls have stepped up their game and that they're now appearing in real life?

In his 2015-01-03 Wal-Mart pepper-spray freakout he said that he wasn't sure if the people approaching him in Wal-Mart uniforms were real employees or not. Five months before that, he was glad that he blended in when he left the house.

Maybe he'd convinced himself that the trolls were lurking behind every corner, and the end result came when he blasted a dude with pepper spray and threatened others a week later.
