While I certainly wouldn't expect definitives considering you don't know the guy beyond what he's typing, but let's say he's not neurotypical. Would us engaging him in anyway have an affect? I could see how if we encouraged him that could be bad. Would disagreeing be an issue, or would he simply ignore something that does not align with his world view?

I certainly think anything that substantially furthers his delusions would be a bad idea - like somebody pretending to have read his works and obtained miraculous powers from them - but I'm sure nobody from here is going to do something like that.

He seems to have a history online, most of it people disagreeing with him, so he's probably used to that. I'm not sure he'd ignore our arguments so much as fail to grasp them. I expect that his brain processes information and judges its validity in a very different way than any of ours. Much of what we say probably appears nonsensical to him. The messianic overtones to his personality also suggest he likely takes mockery and rejection as further confirmation of his own status.

In short I don't expect talking with him here is going to affect him in any way, but it will probably become pretty circular (at least on his end) before long.

Re: "74 degrees Fahrenheit being ideal", that is a bit subjective. But blame Daniel Gabriel Fahrenheit who was a Freemason. "Freemasons encode everything." - two programs on History Channel. When the Space Shuttle was flying and there was a woman onboard, NASA kept its temperature at 74F. Same thing with the International Space Station. Were you aware of these facts? Probably not.
