I have to wonder if some of the lightly retweeting crowd aren't also some of the same people sending info on to Nick. The whole Funi clique sounds like a toxic mess of backbiters.

As an aside, I am unreasonably hype to see Ty play some Phoenix Wright with Nick. A pedigreed Texas lawyer playing a game where you cross-examine a parrot is going to be phenomenal.

I bet for the vast majority of attorneys, win, lose, or draw it's all just the same work. The only personal consequence they suffer is receiving a fat check. And much like most service professionals, be they psychologists, plumbers, whatever, people only get in contact with you when there's a problem/they dun fucked up.

Oh crap yeah, then besides Geekdom, I can't think of any other possible candidates for Igor. I'd say shane or Renfamous but Ren is more involved with comicsgate so I doubt she'd hold that much influence over cons. and then there's shane, who's shane. Quite possible but might lack the brain power to pull it off. Did Nick mention when the names of Igor and Iago will be revealed ?

Geekdom has been mentioned in Nick's chats multiple times and Nick has acted like he's a nobody. He's just as important as his feud with Perfection is in all of this. I highly doubt he's either Igor or Renfield.

On @Shane_Yes_That_One's thread, I opined that all his allusions to "inside" information are vacuous and I am beginning to think he is "seeding" hoping that others will come back with real info.

I believe that may explain how eager he is to run with any little tidbit and so easy to bait. Idiot.
 
Something I just thought of while checking the thread. The Kameacon story of Rial, Sabat and Toye harassing the con director into keeping Vic out has been a big cornerstone of a lot of the claims against them, but the KickVicers like to say "Oh Nick never actually proved his inside source so he made it up!"

In this specific case, could Ty and the Amazons try and get the con director to come in and provide a statement about the harassment or just request access to his phone?

That COULD work. I assume they harassed him both via phone calls and text messages since those would be the only real tangible pieces of evidence besides the con owner coming himself along with that evidence to corroborate his testimony. I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of the background folks that helped provide Nick with a lot of his information and evidence come forward on the day of the trial or at the very least, give Nick their express permission to name them as credible sources but that comes with the risk that no one will speak to them and thus, Nick wouldn't be able to effectively use them as sources any more. Nick implied that Monika and co made a lot of enemies when they tried to bully the cons and their coworkers and that they didn't appreciate being treated that way and are eager to get back at them.

I hate to give this response, but we'll see when the trial actually starts.
 
I kinda had a thought since Monica and Jamie's relationship statuses keep being brought up. So they've both been engaged for 5~ years now. Travis and Laura married in 2011, and I think were only engaged maybe two years at most (I don't know when they announced their engagement, I think they were still just boyfriend/girlfriend when they were dubbing Brotherhood). But then again, those two legitimately love each other and were super excited to get married which I think is the main driving force behind the wedding date: How soon?

I get it that the cost of throwing a wedding together can get pricey especially if you want to invite all your friends and family or just want to really be the center of attention, but if that's your biggest worry yet you still want to marry, you can always just register your marriage at the courthouse for a fee, and then have a wedding later when you raise the money. There's no shame in that.

I also get that conflicting schedules due to having one spouse always traveling to different conventions could potentially be the reason behind pushing back the date. But that's why you plan ahead and make schedule changes when necessary. Who the hell really knows why Monica and Jamie haven't married their fiancés yet, we can joke all day long that they really aren't that much into each other after all and maybe it's more complicated than that, but in the eyes of the law, all that means is you don't get spousal privilege in the courtroom and that's what's going to come back to bite them in the ass (or at least with Monica, no word on if Jamie ever told her fiancé anything). Then we'll see if they still remain engaged to each other for another five years or are at least no longer pretending to hide their fuckbuddy relationship by claiming they're engaged to each other.

Oh, bonus link, Wikipedia cited Travis and Laura's wedding album and you can see some of the voice actors in the photos. It's kinda interesting, to say the least, I just am bad with faces and can't tell anyone apart--though Todd Haberkorn was one of the attendees. And this might be Jamie kissing someone in it, I don't know, names aren't listed anywhere (least not publicly). She's a redhead, so that's just what I'm assuming, but that could just be Wendy Powell. Still, though, just thought it was interesting to share to look through.

It's because he's a bona fide listen and believer. He can't fathom any of these people lying to him. Especially with his self-inflated sense of importance.
