Someone tipped and asked during the MLB stream if Phil would visit his old condo. He said "No, absolutely not. I have no reason to go there." Maybe just maybe, you should go check up on the property you are paying taxes, a mortgage and HOA fees for. I would do it just to make sure everything is still good. With the horrible winter everyone had there could be many problems. Why would you want to find out about these things after you try to move back OR after someone expresses interest in buying it. If he didn't turn the water off, or empty the toilet bowls of their water and didn't leave the heat on in the house there is a possibility that there is major damage. Hell, he could have roaches or mice.
Dave attaches a lot of weight to his performance in games. Not to get too armchair-psychologist, but gaming is all he has - in fact, it's all he ever had. He doesn't have any friends, he doesn't have any family he cares for (except his parents, and even then only when they give him money), his girlfriend is a blank slate who he keeps around purely for status, he's never had any notable achievements in his career, he's never had a wild holiday, even the purchase of his first house - something everyone is proud of - is now a rotting, empty shell that drags him down every month. So it's very important to him that he's good at games, because otherwise he might have to face up to the fact that he's made some very, very bad choices in life.
