Brave New World is hard to classify in a political sense, it's definitely got a society based on a lot of liberal values gone mad, but the social structure is ultra-conservative to preserve those liberal elements.

Given their recent fawning over censorship, of course they'd despise a book that criticizes the concept and those that encourage it. Remember, whatever they espouse is the "right" opinion, and whatever contradicts that is inherently "evil" in their eyes.

I'm reminded of that bit in a walkthrough of Sunset or Sundown or wherever it was where you play a #woke pickananny who works for a dictator's son in 1970s south America. It's a walking sim, and you can maneuver around his apartment and choose to "hide/remove problematic literature". One of the books is Sun Tzu's The Art of War. The woke crowd is completely contemptible.

Also the developers called the Steam Refund system patriarchy or racism or something, because you can see the whole game in 10 minutes. The gaming equivalent of a pretentious short story sold at novella prices.
