Trebek: "I wanted to prevent you from hearing inaccurate reports regarding my health."
Well shit.

I have to say, he seems like a real smug prick to me,
Well I’ve heard stories about him actually being a prick, but he also seems like one on Jeopardy so I tend to believe those stories. Why does he seem like that to you?

He is quite literally a know it all so there’s thatWell I’ve heard stories about him actually being a prick, but he also seems like one on Jeopardy so I tend to believe those stories.
I have a former friend who drank himself into it by getting pancreatitis, being in denial it was alcohol induced despite the doctor telling him it was drinking a 1 75 liter of vodka every day. He has stage 2 and acts like eating healthy has cured it. He's gonna probably die soon and is in compete denial. It seems like smug assholes fail to realize the low survival rate of pancreatic cancer. Steve Jobs did that health food bullshit too. Didn't help.Pancreatic cancer has one of the lowest survival rates, be ready to mourn folks.
My fondest memory of Alex Trebek will be his appearance on Celebrity Jeopardy.

I hope Will Ferrell returns to deliver the best celebrity jeopardy ever in his honor
The question is "It appears that time finally just ran out for this old cocksucker."I read an article written about him where they followed him around for a day of shooting Jeopardy. He apparently has had bad insomnia for most of his life, and really cares about pronouncing all the foreign words in the answers correctly. He seemed like a nice guy.
For years Trebek, like Dick Clark, seemed ageless and immortal to me.
I don't know anything about the real guy, but he was a likeable game show fixture for all of my childhood. This is awful news.
We all do, but in addition to pancreatic cancer being one of the toughest to beat with an abysmal survival rate, but being stage 4 means his has already spread. Once it spreads, its close as makes no difference impossible to fully eradicate.I hope he beats the odds.
Yeah, loved watching Jeopardy whenever it was on. I agree, Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer is a death sentence and it was the same cancer that took Stefan Karl (Robbie Rotten) from us.Welp, that's it for him. Legitimately one of the absolute SOL forms of cancer to get.
I hope what time he has left is comfortable.
