Kinda disagree but it's somewhat tangential and your main point is well-taken. Which is why the Killstream needs to keep moving from topic to topic, rather than focusing in on a single topic. A week of a single issue more or less guarantees that the hosts start thinking they know more about an issue than they really know and then the actual content turns to shit. They start laying down their thoughts and making predictions and it's not good entertainment.

In all honesty, I didn't even mind listening to them talking about news back when Zidan was still on every night. It's quite obvious that without Zidan around Gators autism and soundboard spam is off the charts and without Zidan there is literally no one doing any research for the topics discussed.

I highly doubt that ralph doesnt do more then a half hour of research on stories that are supposed to last 2-3 hours. It's never and non major stories either.

On YouTube they bled out viewership really quickly during their height on non-drama days. KS used to have Drama as a special treat and news as the main focus with the best host Zidan. A sense of consistency was lost and in exchange we got a beautiful trashfire that’s just been winding down since the YouTube kick.

I'm going to posit a theory on this. I think Ralph conscripted Zoom during the Tonka Saw trashfire because he wanted closure to the story in a more timely fashion. I am sure he likely knew about the danger of working with Zoom, but felt he had no choice because he wanted closure to the Kumite and it was a slow bleed. Zoom came in and did his stunts which were popular at the time, but after that, the Killstream had no deep grudge left, and Zoom didn't leave once invited.

Now Ralph is stuck between a rock and a hard place. He brought this problem in, but now can't make it leave. Like how rats were not indigenous to America, we fucked up and brought them here on ships, so we brought domesticated cats to try to solve the problem, instead we now have cats and rats. We just made things worse in an attempt to fix the problem.
