Someone brought up in the old thread that the Gizmodo article was written by Beth Elderkin, former CA contributor, who is of course long time friends with Marzgurl.
Marzgurl seems strangely intent on doing her own digging. But to her credit, she was able to find someone.
When he was working at a school as a cameraman, he befriended a girl who was 15. He asked her to come to his house, and she went, and he attempted to force himself on her. When she repeatedly told him no, he backed off and told her to leave.
She also posted evidence of him in her yearbook.
Another woman comes in and says while she was at the same school she heard he was fired for being inappropriate with students.
So it might turn out the allegations may have held weight. But since these people are a complete bunch of fuckwits who decided to go to the twitter mob hashtag first instead of the court, they virtually torpedoed their own fucking case.
The accuser in that chain of tweets didn't provide any proof she attended the school, that Vic ever worked or volunteered at that school, where that school is, it reads like bad fanfiction, and she doesn't have the journal or her mom to confirm this happened? D.C. Douglas pops in, and to his credit, asks for confirmation and she doesn't answer. Some random dude provides obviously incorrect proof.
The woman who "confirmed" this story literally created her account before responding and also can't confirm that he ever taught at that school, or her school if it's separate. Her proof is a picture of Vic Mignogna as a coach, apparently, but this makes no fucking sense, if he was her English teacher she should had a staff page. It also contradicts the person above her's claims that Vic was a cameraman at a church and working in a theater production, unless these are supposed to be different years? I can only find that he was born in 1962, so it's possible, but the personal page the wiki provides as a source says he taught DRAMA in Texas and was a cameraman for sports, not a coach, and this doesn't match either of their accounts. Did he switch teaching roles? Maybe he did, this is sort of common in teaching. Can anyone find out who the hell the woman actually providing these accusations is, and where she went to school? If Vic was 26, this should be during his time in Virginia or Florida. Vic says on his site where he taught, the Art Institute of Houston. If you couldn't tell, this is not a public high school, and it's in Texas. Maybe he taught before he moved to Houston, but his bio gives no indication he did, only that he acted and played music.
If this is the best they have (it's straight up out of the statute of limitations too) they're still fucked.
EDIT: The second woman claims it was Trinity Christian in Florida, and wiki claims he moved to Houston in 1990, so if this was in 1986-1987 it's possible, but his official site claims, or makes it seem like, he was in Virginia before moving to Houston, so he moved from Florida after getting fired from this school (presumably) to Virginia, did a whole lot there, including trying to sleep with this girl, and then moved to Houston? Or is Virginia before Florida? I dunno. I can't find any sources that he ever taught in Florida or taught English, and this woman admits she can't prove he taught there and only has that one picture. HOW CAN YOU NOT PROVE THIS IN ANY WAY? The original person sounds more believable considering he WAS a cameraman by his own admittance, but the second woman is posting him from an obviously different school year from the first woman, since he was 24 then instead of 26. Her "proof" isn't proof at all. We have one woman who made claims with no proof, and a woman confirming these claims with lackluster proof about a different year entirely. If she's not attempting to confirm these claims, she's only proving that Vic was a coach once, seemingly, and otherwise providing only rumors. The timeline is making my head hurt, he was fired from this supposed Christian school at 24/25, but then was working at it at 26 to molest this girl when he should have been moving to Houston around then?
