There world view isn't separated from their daily lives, it's based off the need to justify their behavior at any given moment. So they need the opposition to be some right wing extremists hell bent on rounding up all the trannies of color, because if they're not and they're just normal people with slightly different views then all of the harrassment, death threats, wishing awful things on people, and trying to ruin people's lives looks kind of shitty. It's the same reason they've begun bitching about centrists, since people who by definition don't engage in extremist behavior can't help justify them being petty shit heads.
So if the Patriots support white supremacy because they are Trump's team and have too many white players doesn't that also make for evidence of white supremacy being true since they keep winning? It sounds to me a lot of these people are happy to believe in the master race after all.

A lot of these poor oppressed minorities will describe how they refuse to look at opposing opinions because it makes them feel "unsafe for their life". Its just solipsism is you feel like someone is harming then they are literally harming you nothing exist except what you feel.
