So... When can we expect Trump to bomb Maduro's ass out of existence? Within the next 72 hours or is he going to wait until the deadline?

He's not bombing him. Agents or his own men will take his ass out. Dude is going to die like Gaddafi.

Why use your expensive toys if you can get the cia out of their asses to do something useful for once?

Yeah that works fine too (although Gaddafi died some gruesome death there). But is he going to wait until that preposterous deadline?

Hopefully never because the record for successful US facilitated regime changes are 0 - 4

They're due.

So is the guy replacing Maduro, Juan Guaido, any good?
He leans to the left. Venezuela, like Argentina, is gonna take decades for their people to stop voting and supporting the left (if they do that at all). Even if they get rid of Maduro, chances are they still would support someone with a leftist mentality. Now, he's at least a moderate leftist.

Don't get fooled for people saying they're anti-Chavez. Chavismo isn't much of an ideology but people who support Chavez because he tells people what they want to hear, that he's protecting them from American Imperialism, that the rest of the world also is being blocked by America, and so on. There are socialists who are against Chavez too.

MADURO IS GONE!!!!

If only but tonight some shit could happen

They keystone of US global power is its ability to have the back yard locked down. Undisputed control of the Caribbean region ensures that the USA can operate as it pleases in the entire Western hemisphere. This shake up in Venezuela during a time of US government paralysis is exactly what the Russians and Chinese were hoping for when they endeavored to exacerbate the divisions in American society during the 2016 elections.

What we are seeing play out now is the best chance since the Cold War for an Old World power to regain a foothold in the Americas to challenge US dominance over the hemisphere and therefore the world at large.

Watch the Chinese, they are being quiet. Russian bluster is to be expected but Russia becomes Beijing's puppet more and more as time passes.

I want him to be starved like he starved his people.

Put him in a glass display on exhibit, sell empanadas, let people walk up, talk to him, then break one out of their pocket and eat it while he sits there and starves.

C.I.A. is already in there. We're taking that shit.

"A push from the left and a shove from the right
It's all planned out, we'll do it tonight."

Obama complained a lot about Chavez and Maduro. Looks like Trump has finally decided to push the eject button on them.

Germany too, but in each case the US should probably have toned down on the pacifist reprogramming a little.

I wonder how big trump wants to go with this. If Maduro is not the recognized legitimate authority for Venezuela he can't tell the US embassy to do shit. Maduro would have to use force to evict the American mission. But doing so would almost certainly trigger a severe US reaction.

Indeed. It would pretty fucking worrying if this leads to an outcome where the US loses influence in the region. Pathetic, too.

My expectation is for a neutral or positive result. The Chinese public have been losing faith in Venezuela so China's budding adventurism may find other countries to focus on.
