So, Kat's got a cold, right? I think I may have found the cause. Listen to this:

Quick question about the $100k+ he earns...

It's it primarily from 200-300 people?
Like averaging out to be ~$300-400 a year each?

I guess for the cult that is only ~$10 each a month... So 10-20 cheers a month...

Probably 1/2 of those questions are answered with "I don't know"...or "that's a stupid question" or "I can't answer when I'm playing...so there you go"

It's hard to say exactly how many people actually give Phil money on Twitch, but it's pretty obvious that those people don't give an equal amount and we can put each of them into one of four categories:
1. Pig Whale
Examples: Emerald, Tut
People who very rarely appear to give Phil huge amounts of money in a short time span then leave for whatever reason. Because Phil is an autism magnet, he usually has several of these in any given year.
2. Whale/Paypig
Examples: Phil's mods
People who consistently give Phil big tips or cheers, usually for attention or to attain/maintain their mod status. When a Pig Whale shows up, the Paypigs become threatened and band together to drive the Pig Whale away, which is one reason why the latter don't stick around very long. Small in number, maybe a couple dozen of them.
3. Piglet
Examples: Phil's subs
People who occasionally cheer or tip small amounts to ask Phil a question (that gets ignored 90% of the time) and rarely stray into Paypig territory. Easily make up the majority of people who give Phil money, but don't give a whole lot in the grand scheme of things. Phil hates these fans because he can't squeeze every penny out of them, so he mostly ignores them and only acknowledges them when he feels they're not "interacting" enough.
4. Trolls
People who think giving money to Phil is trolling him. Most of them give small amounts in the hopes of getting a rise out of Phil with their message, but some go full exceptional and give Paypig tier amounts because they buy into the already debunked theory that if they give Phil a lot of money, that'll somehow discourage his actual fans from doing so. One could argue those types are closet fans too afraid to admit it. "Thanks for the money, dummy!"

I don't have the numbers to back this up, so if I had to guess I'd break down Phil's Twitch fan base and yearly Twitch income like this:
Pig Whales 1% of base, 15% of income
Paypigs 10% of base, 50% of income
Piglets 80% of base, 25% of income
Trolls 10% of base, 10% of income

Phil doesn't want to say it, but he'd rather have his entire fan base be a small group of loyal paypigs than what he has now. We know this because Phil could have low stream attendance, but a paypig gives a nice $100 tip and he's as happy as a pig in shit. On the flip side, he could have good stream attendance (for him anyway lol) with low tips, then all we hear from him is constant sighing and whining.

Also, when did this huge shift into blaming trolls on every facet of his life start? Like he’s always blamed them for shit, but within the last year he went from always saying the trolls have no power and they don’t affect me, and overnight I felt like it’s pulled a 180 and now they ruin every single thing....I swear someone is in his ear that just tells him to do shit like this, it’s so odd how often he flip flops narratives

Yes, there is..... Kat.

Ever since she moved in things have changed quite a bit in goutland, its clear she is using her life skills at fucking people over to help dave improve his grift.

Its the same reason he seems to apologize when he fucks up instead of doubling down like he used to. She doesnt want him to lose money/get banned and gives him ideas to improve scamming the viewers. Its amazing people are still trying to troll shield her.

My question was more about him mentioning his Patreon payment. He has recently started pushing "I have no money until the 15th" pretty much on the first of every month, but I never see him mention his Patreon money coming in on the 2nd or 3rd. Since he has asked for $200 a day i'm sure he looks at the ~$600 from Patreon as pocket change not even worth mentioning especially since he used to pull in double that amount.

Yeah, he conveniently leaves out Patreon, to the tune of usually $700-800 the first week of the month.

I'll see what stats I can pull from the numbers for 2018 later on. Should be interesting to see how many true whales there are.

Of course he would want those loyal ones giving chunks of money, preferably tips. The small fries or piglets just give him more work(reading small cheer questions, having to thank people more constantly, thanking people for subs etc.)for mere quarters and dollars.

I'm sure deep down he despises the lurkers just sitting there watching his cahntent for free because he knows he could make a lot more if they just give him a dollar tip frequently. While also resenting the people that do cheering and subbing because he doesn't get the money right away.

He just would rather have 10 or so dumbasses giving him bigger chunks so he doesn't have to turn and read shit as much.

Take this with a HUGE grain of salt because its like 3rd hand anonymous info but some guy was on a detractor restream saying that his friend used to work for twitch and this friend told him that Twitch partners have a completely different department to handle bans of partners. Supposedly the normal people who review reports who normally hand out bans, can not ban a partnered streamer. He said that they must forward it to the partner program people (it wasnt clear if this was the streamers direct rep or a special team) to review and they decide regarding bans.

If this is actually true it makes a lot of sense. It explains why Dark is immune to most of the bans that normal twitch plebs get on the daily. Its also interesting because it means the partner people were pissed enough about his begging to hand out that early ban in 2018 if that was really waht it was for.

Holy crap, DSP was really pushing those tips on pre-stream just now. Saying there are some big bills due in the next three days, before he gets paid by Twitch, and that he's nervous about those because he has run out of money.

Talking about "negative memes", he also said, and I quote: "There's nothing going on anymore if you take a look at my streams. There's nothing negative or toxic going on at my streams. My streams are GOOD. My streams are a great place to hang out, they're fun!"

It was slow on the prestream and he deliberately stalled by doing his slow talking/repetition meme, then used a troll cheer (that wasn't even trolly, but had a Wings reference in the name) to start talking about the trolls. Now we have cheers rolling in to bait him.

Phil also said that there is 'no valid criticism' of his streams anymore. We're all making everything up. Now in the past, he was obstinate and ignored valid criticism, but that isn't him anymore, which is why there is no valid criticism. Okay.
I look forward to today's valid criticism begin acknowledged as such next year. That 1080p webcam and green screen will really spike the quality of the stream.

EDIT: BUCKLE UP BOYS. THE 'BLACK AND WHITE MENTALITY' RANT IS BACK!
Also: Phil keeps getting trolled with rumors about him going on an Italy trip? Is this a thing that I missed somewhere? I strongly suspect that this is a deliberate 'soft ball' troll to give Phil something to laugh about.

The ultimate measure of a man's ability to auuummm *sway towards mic and check for tips* change, and can we PLEASE pat me on the back for this?! Uummm... *snooort* y'know, preferably with tips, umm *throat clear* MINECRAFT, okay? *buuurp* I'm playing MINECRAFT!!! *Yaaawn* *snort* so aahhh, there you go. The best way you can help me is tipping me...

Edit: the stallllling...ohhh the stalling in that prestream! How about that Italy strawman "detractor meme" btw? Prime Phil. I'm beginning to think he keeps bringing up this lottery ticket crap in the hopes of starting a trend of people tipping him to "use this money on lottery tickets, Phil, you deserve it!" He sure brings it up enough. Not a "slow day" so far so the smug cringe should be nearly intolerable, btw. He loves and much prefers a handful of big cheers to a steady stream of smaller ones. Less work and all, you know.

PseudonymousGamer is becoming one of the most consistent paypigs lately. Has this guy been a regular that I have just missed? He has a 6 month sub badge.
I assume this means we're looking at about 2 more months before he gets promoted to mod.

Is there a good god damn reason why everyday I check my Twitter I see people quoting dark asking for money because he’s got to pay his bills? Like god damn man he acts like he’s got a bill due every day of the year

Has anyone did the autism math and figured out by his logic when his bills are due? It's almost every day right? Or every other day? I find that whenever his donations are low and there's no emergencREE he ends up going for the "MY BILLS ARE DUE REALLY SOON GUYS AND I CANT PAY THEM" excuse. Almost every week. I dunno about you guys but I've found almost every bill of mine comes all in the same week. Either at the end of the month or the beginning of the month. Not randomly distributed through the month. Also what bills? They're always known as the mythical "bills". Rent? Electricity? Credit Card Debt? Other Debt? Insurance? Mortgage? What are they?

The CC bill dates could be all over since he only just sought to have them changed (and that's if you believe he did that anyway). Otherwise, mortgages are due at the beginning of the month, as are pretty much all utilities. In short, yeah, he's pretty much full of shit as always.

I find this form of tip begging the funniest. I can't think of any normal bills that have some immediate effect if you don't pay them exactly on time. For fuck's sake, I've forgotten (on more than one occasion, embarrassingly) to pay the power bill for a given month, only realizing when I got a bill for double the typical amount the next month. These companies know that shit happens sometimes. Worst case is that you have to call and ask for a late fee to be waived or something, and most don't even assess those until you're real late.

Yeah, they're pretty recent. Said a few things in June 2017, then disappeared until June 2018, was around consistently until September 2018, and disappeared again until this month. TBH, kinda screams college student to me (big surprise).

Presented without comment:
If this is sincere, this dude is a living version of the Phil Fan memes. Longtime fan, DSP lit the way through troubled times, and, to top it all off, migrated from Youtube and is finally pulling his weight instead of being a useless piece of shit mooching off an archive channel.

It's also possible that he knows this joke, and therefore he is a detractor that flew too close to the sun on wings of ham with some troll cheers, and then, like heroin, got addicted and is now in a deathspiral to the Sea of Lost Pay Whales. May Tut guide his wayward soul.

A cautionary tale either way.

We've had dropped inputs before, but I think we got our first double input.

The game entered the burning car by himself. He didn't mash triangle. The frame rate slowed down and doubled his inputs.

Edit: He also just said that GTA has too much driving. He's upset that the missions are too long because you have to go back and forth between islands during the same mission.

That's just pathetic.

Edit: While looking up how much pseudonymousgamer has tipped ($85 as now), I noticed this:

anonymous tipped [19] times: $160.41 (Avg: $8.44)
the goutening tipped [1] times: $149.00 (Avg: $149.00)
fallen1570 tipped [1] times: $100.00 (Avg: $100.00)
trolltip tipped [11] times: $74.00 (Avg: $6.73)

That's the top 4 tippers. Trolltips (goutening included) account for $223 out of ~$1300 tips received this month so far. Good work, retards. You're really showing him what for.

DSP is raging about how boring and tedious the game is because he has to drive 2-3 minutes back and forth.

Also, wasn't the goutening's tip $121, not $149?

Edit: DSP was paying so little attention that he hit a cop car, ran the cop over, and then 10 second later questioned why he had two stars because he dindu nuffin.

Double edit: DSP literally saved the game with 2 stars, then closed the application and restarted the entire game to make the stars go away.

Triple Edit: We could be in for a legendary salty mission here folks. Tune in right now.

Worth pointing out that this is partly because of the exceptional way he chose to do this. For some reason, he played the other PS2 GTA games before this one. VC and SA made massive improvements over 3, which was full of kinks because it was breaking ground. The issues are going to be more pronounced when you play it last. And really... there was no reason to do it this way. But it's Phil, so instead of taking the logical path, you do nonsense and then complain.

I like how many prominent paypigs seem to stipulate that they're doing it while drunk. Phil is the only streamer I've seen that seems to require beer goggles and impaired judgement for his fans to donate.

EDIT: His ranting about the map in this game is a joke. He spends 25% of any stream staring at his phone and has not addressed why he cannot pull a map up on his phone. He's 'raging' so hard right now that he gave thanks for cheers, but said he can't sit there and address them because he needs to focus on the game because of the lack of map. The hell?

EDIT2: Wow. "I can't pull it up on my laptop because the map won't fit on my laptop screen." Holy fucking shit, Phil. This isn't even obstinate, this is just openly stupid. Or... some kind of fake rage?
