This GTA3 "redemption" run proves once again how awful and ignorant of a gamer Dave is. How in God's name, can anyone do worse in a REDEMPTION run of a game such as GTA? Honestly how is it possible?This is compeltey mind blowing of how bad he is now, that he even does worse in second runs of games. Granted GTA3 can be a hard game with the control, some games levels, and game physics (cars,crashing, etc.). But there is no excuse for him when he's literally crashing into everything which causes his car to get wrecked/destroyed, running over people needlessly, failing easy missions, getting arrested by police, and not using weapons properly and accurately. For a man that has been gaming as a "job" for ten years, he sure is fucking awful at it and maybe should do something else for a living. But of course that won't be happening and we'll see more of this shit for years to come.

He used cheat codes to beat it the first time. Not sure if not using them this time fits his (ever-changing) definition of a redemption run.

Short answer: because he rushes through because he wants to get the game done and over with as soon as possible.

His reflexes are way worse than 10 years ago.
He refuses to to wear his glasses and is probably blind as a mole.
He rushes through the game.
He doesn't enjoy gaming anymore
He relies way too much on chat and his "gaming intuition" is dulled (even though it wasn't great to begin with).

The only game which Dave can actually play on an average level at this point is Street Fighter. But even there he gets his ass kicked as soon as he needs to adapt to newer gameplay mechanics because he still uses the same fucking combos and methods from 20 years ago.

this makes me think dsp is a puppet with the only thing truly human about him is his bitchiness and saltiness, and this puppet is being controlled by his fans

Actually checked out his stream today and he was just standing in front of a mission marker because he couldn't do the mission until a certain time. How could ths guy not be more popular???
 
Fuck. I’m stupid because I am not self employed and own my business (despite DSP actually having bosses in twitch, YouTube, and the taxman).

Man he’s kind of right. Fuck my matched 401k. Fuck my 30 days of PTO. Fuck my experience, knowledge and work relationships giving me job security. Fuck my paid holidays off. Fuck my steady paycheck. Fuck my ESOP. I’m so stupid.
 
Christ, watching a GTA game be played without the music/radio on is insanely boring. Having the roaches commentary on-top of it doesn't help either.

Goes without saying but playing GTA without listening to the radio is straight up blasphemous and you're really missing part of GTA's identity when you do that. Which makes sense why Phil does this because he doesn't care.

Yes he said that and no, that odesnt mean he makes $600 a month and this is one of those things that prove he is a piece of shit.

Phil never gives out YT financial numbers, he is doing it now, as in right now because YT ad revenue plumets the begining of January and is likely far far less than he makes the rest of the year. He even admits that, saying he knows it will rebound in March. He is such an expert grifter at this point that he realizes this is a good time to tell people what he is really making (probably still a lie) so people assume he is making jack shit on YT all year.
 
I think DSP purposely plays games like garbage. It’s actually an ingenious way to bait people into handholding cheers and tips or troll cheers and tips. Might be the smartest business plan he’s ever devised.

tbh, i turned off the radio.. but i still listened to my own music
because driving from A to B over and over gets really boring

phil could have played fan music (no don't) at the least to fill in the dead air since he doesn't talk until cutscenes

If he were playing like garbage on purpose, still not a great plan. The idea of putting on an act by playing poorly and trying to pass it off as 100% not fake instead of clear trolling or intentional stupidity is really offputting imo.

How he has been doing redemption runs and playing worse than when he originally played is all a dumb ruse to me, and in this case the fact he won’t at least put on Chatterbox is a serious load of crap. GTA 3 radio is like half the fun of going back to it nowadays.

Edit: Then again we would have to hear his input of the obvious jokes that we would hear over the radio like DJ Michael Hunt and his ever so knowledgeable insight about the joke. You win some you lose some.
