"angry" gamers/critics

Normally I don't mind movies if there is vulgar content like cursing, gore, etc. But I disliked the opening when they had chicken logo designed as a male's privet parts-"Cockburn". It just felt cheap to me to see that in the opening of the movie. Like here's AVGN's like awaited movie and he's already resorted to cursing and obscene content to be "entertaining." It's just not funny to me.

That's too bad, some of the best AVGN videos is where it's less vulgarity, and more on focusing on how bad the movies are. There's a bit on the Bad Webcomics Wiki that best states this: "It's easy to make an unintellectual audience laugh at fart jokes and the disabled, or to create the illusion that you're funny by talking fast and swearing a lot." (Yahtzee, I'm looking at you)

As for Grumpy Cat, her face is caused by feline dwarfism, and it is indeed real...her owner took GC out to SXSW in Austin a few years back, where the poor cat was likely petted and photographed with hundreds of strangers.

With so many angry reviewers, it really called for something like this:

https://youtube.com/watch?v=R5z98C4gTHEMade by people almost as bad as the people they mock.
You know, if it were remade today, I can see BenTehLoony, Mr. Enter, JonTron, TVTrash and maybe Project AFTER and IMDb (as a whole) being added.

That being said, there's plenty of flaws. Right off the bat I can tell them that BBC's a commentator/debater first, reviewer second. Another being that there's plenty of glaring omissions besides the above mentioned (like Asaliari, due to his RaR series and MovieBob). Also I can't tell if the singers are British, autistic, or both, because they really suck at singing and song writing.

Australian actually. English isn't my first language, but I knew that one was coming : P

As for the omissions, our research at the time was "Everyone from TGWTG", which was foiled by our initial hypothesis of "they must have hundreds of reviewers on there" being a bit short.

The point though is to illustrate just how many people there are that feel the need to give their 2 cents in the same, tired style. I'd like to think we succeeded.

Problem with that though is that you raised the ire of their fans (I saw more dislikes than likes on that video), proved that you stink at song parodies and rapping, and left out some glaring examples (which I mentioned before). And as I said, BBC's not really a reviewer, so unless commentators can be considered reviewers, I have no idea why he's in the video.

I don't know a whole lot about JonTron, but I always felt that Game Grumps was always lame--just playing a game (sometimes a good one) with some raspy neckbeards screaming about something irrelevant in the foreground.

And all the forced giggling... OH GAWD THAT FORCED GIGGLING!

Everyone likes to bitch about how Grumps is ruined since Jon left, but honestly I think it's way better with Danny. For the most part, he's much more chilled out. Him and Arin actually talk about things that are funny. Jon-era Grumps would talk about something for like 30 seconds and then Jon would segue off into some loud non-sequitur, or spend the next 2 minutes justifying his opinion.

Furthermore, it's made Jon produce more content and live with his girlfriend.

And I feel Danny can make Aren genuinely laugh. Watch the Dennis the Menace review.

Did you know that review is based on an actual one? Look up Game Dude playing Mickey Mouse-capade. It's like a parody of AVGN except he's dead totally serious. Also I don't know if it's been mentioned in this thread but there's this:

I've only come across GameDude.

''Lousy reviewing'' could be best summarised in any one of GameDude's ''reviews''.
* Nit-picking any negatives
* Exaggeration
* Intentionally (and obviously) trying to make a game look bad.
* Vagueness. While too much elaboration can be monotonous it helps to get more than one sentence out regarding an aspect of the game you're discussing.

''Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery'', but that flattery doesn't necessarily warrant a good imitation. I don't watch AVGN, but I watch the Nostalgia Critic from time to time, and much of the time his reviews are good and rational all while conforming to his character.

What, no mention about Gamedude's stupid accent or jokes?
