He thinks the beg-a-thon will be a bust because "Christmas is over."

So he really was expecting people to just give him cash in the spirit of the holiday.

Hey Dave, since we all know you read here, there's just one thing I'd like to impart to you.

No man is an island. You may not give a thought to the people whose shoulders you stand on to keep your head above water but I'm willing to bet a lot of them have gotten a leg up themselves since they've been donating to you. That's how humanity gets on, you know: do someone a solid, getting one yourself when you're hard up from family or friends. Call it karma, or paying it forward, or Christian charity, call it whatever you want but the spirit is the same.

I want you to consider, in the quiet moments before you fall asleep in your bed, how many people went without that helping hand because so many people give you one whenever you ask for it. And you do ask, often. Then I'd like you to think about the chances you've had this year, as it comes to a close, when you could have been the one helping someone in need, and you chose not to. Then I'd like you to consider why you made that choice and what those choices make you feel in the pit of your gut.

If you don't feel much, I'd ask myself why that is.

10 minute early clockout.

Multiple times during this stream he said if he doesn't work he doesn't get paid. 10 minute early clock out. Still taking the day off tomorrow to get a haircut and follow Kat around as she does shopping.

So, I watched a re-stream and D$P doesn't sound like someone with a cold nor someone who completely lost their voice less than 24 hours ago. His voice neither cracks nor breaks. He's not even hoarse. He speaks in a low , flat, monotone, but appears to have plenty of strength the entire length of the stream. He shows absolutely no pain while talking or swallowing. He doesn't even have the sniffles. He said he had a bowl of Spicy Ramen ( to clear his sinuses ) and House Special Chow Mein at the Chinese fast food place Christmas Eve. I can think of little more painful for a sore and inflamed throat than SPICY, salty food. I can't imagine the crunchy chow mein noodles to be a pleasant choice either. His nose isn't red or even slightly pink nor do his eye appear to be the least bit swollen. I'm calling foul on the cold+ throat so swollen he could not speak at all.

As for his Minecraft gameplay...Days into the game, he still insists on being a complete and utter noob who knows nothing about the game or it's mechanics. He repeatedly demands the chat tell him what to do next showing an absolute lack of imagination and zero drive outside of lvling up his xp. This is his second time visiting the game and he still fails to see the main selling point of being able to do What you want without guidance. I believe this concept is beyond him and he literally Needs to be told what to do; if not by the game, then by the chat. This does not make for a very entertaining Minecraft stream this many hours into the game and it won't be long before his audience loses interest in leading him by the hand every single, solitary step of the stream...especailly when he ignores or shoots down many of the things they tell him to do; organizing his inventory, improve his house or explore the Nether. He is advised to make a strip mine instead of digging willy nilly. Saying he 'doesn't know what that means ( Valedictorian here, folks ) a viewer explains it to him. He replies that he doesn't understand the person's explanation of digging corridors 2 wide by 2 high North and South or East and West followed by mining branches one wide by two high off the corridors ( aka he doesn't want to do this preferring his randomly mining in one place and then another).

On a side note, he experienced one bug at the start and proclaims the game " Glithy as Hell!". He proceeds to whine about falling thru the world when he loaded the game for a good ten minutes crying like a two year old about how unfair it was and repeating ad nauseam that he 'did nothing wrong'. This is a 36 year old man who plays video games for a living!

I don't understand how Phil is even able to tolerate Minecraft. It's clearly a game meant to be a playground for the imagination. DSP has so little inner joy or creative drive that if you gave him all the Legos in the world he'd just ask you what he's supposed to do with them. If I recall when recounting his infamous Wolverine toy story the crux of his frustration ultimately wasn't that he really wanted to play with it or how cool it looked but that it would have been worth a lot of money. I think he mentioned that he got it eventually but it was a second run and it wasn't as rare

(Ignoring that to anyone's knowledge he hasn't sold any of his supposedly valuable action figures to this day despite repeated financial difficulties.)

My point is that Phil's creative muscle is as flabby and useless as the rest of him, and that Minecraft, like most games, is wasted on him. Does he get big $$$ for playing it? I can't imagine he keeps going back to it for any other reason.

Aren't there tools you can use to map out stuff you want to build? There is literally no point in a person like Phil just doing random shit haphazardly, he may as well plot out a design and spend the time fleshing it out instead.

you can use torches, signs, and dirt bricks to help remember where you want to place things or put them on walls you want to dig through

then again this is phil, who during the first playthrough, """"""needed""""" a cover for the walkway between his house and mine that used more wood than his house.

Though repeatedly told about the merits of placing a torch on the LEFT* while progressing underground, he continues to fail to do so and continues to get lost.

Our boy does little but under perform in dumbed down version of a game Millions of elementary school children have been mastering for over a decade.

*As per the sailing adage to remember channel marks 'Red, Right, Returning'

I was in and out for this stream. For the most part, it was pretty "chill" actually: had an ASMR-vibe to it with Phil's voice being so low and there being cows and stuff in the background. But because of this, the snorts were even more jarring: they were made to sound way louder than usual.

He got relatively heated at points, but the rants weren't really extensive.

Towards the last quarter or so of the stream, Phil was quiet, busy with farmwork as chat was on its own talking about Christmas and the like. Wagginz showed up and chat started talking to her. Shortly after, Phil complained, "No one's really talking to me anymore now."

Stream ended about ten minutes after that, but not before Phil ranted a bit on Ferrer Rocher and then basically called a cheerer a moron for thinking that those chocolates are expensive.

[2018-12-27 04:45:42 UTC] freddyballzeee: cheer100 My supervisor was my secret santa and he gave me fererro rocher. He must be rich

Phil: "You wanna know what's really expensive candy? Go into fucking Godiva store and try to buy any candy in there. That shit's expensive. Ferrero Rocher is like normal stuff you buy at the grocery store and it's not expensive at all... unless you're a moron."

It was so delayed. 'Oops, I forgot to insult you.'

DSP had Italian style bread and an Italian candy called Terrone.
Panettone, maybe? And torrone. Both pop up come Christmas time. I'm curious how he pronounced these.

"mature"

What the fuck crawled up his ass? I'm surprised he didn't call him a filthy peasant. I guess Phil would know about the finer things in life though. Too bad he doesn't know that people who give him money don't want to be called an idiot passive aggressively.

Edit: Jeez, he was so close to not insulting him. He just HAD to add that last part in.

Some Mighty d highlights: (https://youtu.be/xywM6QVhE-M FYI only)

- says he has no $ for bills next week; and his #1 bill of concern if he can't pay? Food, electricity, rates, water?? No... It's the internet;

- 'illness' symptoms = eyes burn, pressure in his head, throat swollen, felt 'destroyed';

- complaining he can barely talk, then does a huge burp into the mic (grotesque);

- I know it's been stated before, but he SPECIFICALLY states a reason for his sickness was being 'overworked' from his 'special' events, AND during that Xmas junk stream that he got 'worried' as contributions weren't coming in!

- His words = 'sick with worry'; mentally was feeling terrible

Getting a real jhob is not even in his mind;

Not a good stream to watch...

This is the best part. Well, which internet line is the one he can't pay? His business class internet for his streams, or his business class internet for the rest of the house?

i missed him saying it was the internet bill. ofc he will cry that if he doesnt get tips to pay it RIGHT NOW they are going to SHUT IT OFF and he wont be able to stream!

Except everyone and their mother who has ever had cable tv /internet etc know that you need to be like 2 months late before they finally cut you off. Just like the fucking power bill, that one yuou can be 3 months late before they show up at your house, you usually have weeks AFTER the shut off date before they finally come out and do anything and the shut off date is usually at least over 1.5-2months past due. but he will cry that they are going to get shut off the day he doesnt pay.

Or he could maybe save a couple hundred dollars by only having one internet line.

Haha just kidding. That would be stupid.

Don't buy 'the cold' for one second:

The symptoms he does describe do not fit with a common cold. They do, however seem to indicate he should have gone to see a doctor.

I came to here to post just this. Blew my mind when I heard it. He literally thinks his sore throat is because the green wasn't rolling in during the holiday stream.
Man fuck him, I shouldn't get angry but this got under my skin

This stream has come and gone and I don't think there's anything more directly related to it. Closing up the thread to keep things clean.
