I agree with the sentiment in your post, but I just can’t imagine Sargon and Ralph successfully doing anything against YouTube, for example. They don’t give a shit when people en masse dislike their Rewind video and shit on it, and you really think a pair of Internet personalities would do anything to them?
Jim, given his nihilist views, might as well think of the situation that way, I’m pretty sure his position shines through when he talks about how youtubers cannot affect real life in any meaningful way.
 
I'm surprised he lasted this long. He was already being lumped in with the alt-right and his habit of just wholesale ripping all his content off from /Pol/ was bound to have negative repercussions at some point.

As another poster said - he was riding an incredible streak of dumb luck for a long time. He was just a medicore guy uploading videos until he fell ass backwards into e-fame when his channel struck oil during gamergate like a fat autistic Jed Clampett.

I kinda feel like this was a pretty fair assessment of Sargon without shitting on him too much. But this is one of those reports akin to listening to someone over 50 on MSNBC report about internet culture, it's digest. You'd have to be pretty deep-in to understand the story of how an idealist turned huxter turned shitbag and now is about to be out on his ass.

Not really. You can go after multiple people at once, and it isn't like a coalition of the old gamergaters would be able to do anything about this.

I'm sure this will hurt, but I think Carl will be fine and still make a very good living unless the deplatforming continues. He still has superchat, probably a woe is me gofundme coming up (with more to follow), his IRL stuff that he has (poorly) transitioned into, paypal (rumors of that being down), streamlabs...

If he saved money and isn't a total dumbass this will probably longterm hurt but won't put him on the street or anything. I do think he audience won't be as loyal as Ralph's was, but it is a lot bigger. Carl has also successfully had super opaque (read probably scam) gofundmes before that were quite successful. Should be interesting to see how it shakes out.
 
He's probably going to try to shake down UKIP for 12k/month as social media director or something

As some have said upthread it's entirely possible that his paypal and youtube accounts are soon to follow. On the topic of superchats and streamlabs, I'm not sure how much he usually makes per stream but aren't his audiences usually rather small compared to the amount of subscribers he has?

Also I don't really know how much dough he makes from his irl stuff, and I don't even know if he sells merch, but I can't imagine he makes much from either. I don't think this will bankrupt him per se but it's going to put a massive vise on his wallet.

Knowing Carl he's probably not saved up much of a nest egg. Though the possibility exists, for sure.
