Apparently he’s there because his daughter is really into it. If anything, I think he’s mostly doing what he can to spend time with her, which is kinda sweet, tbh.

Most of the time if I go to large conventions for my hobbies, they mail me my badge ahead of time so i don't have to wait and i can just come in without ever being in line. I would think that any convention with more than a few thousand people would do this.

Gonna disagree here, there's been a lot of Twitter outrage at least about InkedFur vending. And it's not like the con staff isn't damn aware of his criminal record.

I actually like this idea but it's a shame they're not testing for other STIs as well because god knows the fandom is full of it.

It's also lead to the huge amount of "I DON'T HAVE HIV!" posts on twitter from furry virgins which is always funny to look at it. Imagine being the guy gets told they have aids at a furry convention, a memory that'll last a short lifetime!

I saw a few furries tweet how great is is that they did run out, because that means furries are really healthy and health-conscious.

And that’s totally why they test for HIV at cons. It’s totally not because furries will fuck anything with a pulse and a convenient hole. Really.

I don’t want to get all 1300 AD Dante on everyone but damn, furry cons sound like his vision of the Inferno. Weird uncanny valley, creepy humanoid animals capering around and a pit of disease where fraudulent liars and con artists end up and get pozzed.

The real blackpill here is that HIV tests IIRC aren't accurate unless it's been 90 days since you've last had unprotected sex with someone. Knowing furries, this probably doesn't apply to most of them getting testing, so it's not all that meaningful. I guess their hearts are in the right place.

I'm very very pleased that the kid isn't being left unsupervised around strangers. Having the father there is probably the safest possible way for her to have fun and that makes me relieved. It would be btter if she wasn't a furry but we can't have everything we want can we? at least her dad is supportive of her hobby, a lot of kids would kill for that
