OK I pussied out of the Zoosadism thread because it was depressing as all fuck and tbh I didn't want to deal with the ick-factor, but can someone plz explain/link what the fuck is up with the dessert fixation? What started that shit?

tl;dr one of the zoosadists posted some photo(s) of apple ice cream in cheap plastic dishes, some kind of coconut flan dessert, and blue place mats with a zig-zag design around the edges, and people were straight-up calling or Facebook messaging ice cream parlors in the southeastern US asking whether they sold apple ice cream and/or if they recognized the pie or the place mats.
