Lets take note of just how easy it has become to bully massive corporations into folding and self-censoring solely by having one single guy declare "ME AM OUTRAGED AT UR BIGOTRY!" and be reprinted a bunch of times on buzzfeed tier websites.

This is where the true power of "woke marketing" lies.

Not in drawing in actual viewers/readers/customers or increasing profits in any way, not in stirring up actual massive mobs and backlashes, but by ensuring as many marketing/PR graduates as possible are spoonfed the worst of the SJW shit infesting sociology/the humanities in universities, and then go out into media and business where they will tell their employers all kinds of horror stories about how they will be mass boycotted and publicly lynched by baying mobs if some random tranny nigger blogger from seattle calls them raysist on twitter.

This is the very definition of the illusion of power. All that needs to be done is for the companies involved to call these bluffs and the whole thing would fall apart overnight since these threats of public outcry and boycott and "bad optics" are farcically and obviously bullshit....but the execs at the top dont want to take the risk at offending this non existent army of tumblr tranniggers so they burn everything that they are told to burn by the marketing/pr departments.

Rest in peace Apu. You were probably the most widely known positive depiction of a Pajeet on the goddamn planet. Now you are retconned out of existence because one single person whined about how you are problematic.

I'm sure that would be another challenge in the writing pit to go through remembering they can't go there anymore. I'm sure that has made the show unwatchable when they can't go to those places again.

I just don’t get this whole Apu shit. Nobody had a problem with him for nearly 30 years, and then some unfunny pajeet started REEEEing about how “problematic” he is. Apu is one of the most respectful depictions of an Indian...I mean, “South Asian”...that I’ve ever seen in media. I’ve seen tons of Indian characters were a lot more offensive, like the villains from Temple of Doom, and that guy from The Big Bang Theory.

The worst part about all this is that it came far too late in the series for anyone to even care. Hari and his circle jerk of street-shitters are probably laughing their asses off right now, while most die hard fans of the series (i.e. the only ones who still care) are just shaking their heads in disbelief.
 
Yeah, like, if anyone had an issue before this shit went down, it'd be during the show's heyday. But no one did.

Now some nobody is getting people to reconsider their original opinions like the past 30 years meant jack to them. Really, even if Hari was offended by Apu. The show's full of stereotypes in both personalities and accents should have offended him, and the circlejerk that wants his dick, a lot more than one character who's actually got a lot of development over the course of the show, even compared to the Simpsons themselves.

Yet, no one seems to have an issue that Willie is not voiced by an actual Scot, or that Bumblebee Man is just Hank doing a Mexican accent while spouting vaguely Mexican-sounding gibberish (or that he voices Lou and Carl, who are both black guys). Of course, now that I said that, I can't wait for the inevitable sequel that calls the show out for all the other stereotypes or just have them petition Hank off the show entirely.

The Simpsons is a show made entirely of stereotypes. Mayor Quimby is the corrupt politician, Willie is the angry Scot, Ned is the annoying evangelical, and Homer, the laziest and most ignorant man in the town, is the average American man.

Singling out Apu is missing the forest for the trees.

IMO the whole thing had a lefty media cabal behind it. It was heavily advertised in clickbait rotations all summer. It was at the bottom of every mobile 4chan page for months. Somebody put a lot of money into the whole worthless thing. It was probably meant to be blackmail from the very beginning, so I'm glad Groening told them all to get fucked. It's sad that it damaged the show, but at least it also ended this useless fat faggot's career gimmick.

He built everything around this one character, now it's gone, rest in piss, Pajeet.

Well shit, now I'm sad. I liked Apu, and seeing him get unpersoned like this is depressing.

You know what the real shitty thing about this is? This won't satisfy the "concerned" people who wanted him gone. No, now that the show has shown weakness by appeasing them, these fuckers are going to act like sharks smelling fresh blood. They'll find new "problematic" characters that they'll want gone, and they'll be even more whiny and angry than they were with Apu.

Kiss the likes of Willy, Hibert, and Bumblebee Man goodbye. Their days are numbered at this point.

No, there are still plenty of episodes set at the school.

Bart had a handful of teachers-of-the-week until they settled on

Ned Flanders.
