This was going along really good and then got really tismal when he started hollerin about Lucy, and it never recovered.

Yeah, I'd only be angry at someone if they actually did something bad to deserve it; holding a grudge while reviewing something is a weakness that needs to be overcome in order to tackle it effectively. Otherwise, you just look like a sperging fool in the process of reviewing, especially if said character you hate had NOTHING to do with the conflict or what may be wrong with something you're watching and happen to love/hate.

I really enjoy regular show, but never found Rigby to be annoying. Yeah, there's episodes where he is, but its obvious purposeful. Also, Mordecai is just as lazy as Rigby at times.

Has Moviebob already been mentioned somewhere in this thread? I have no idea how that guy is even employed, at the Escapist no less. His rants are really not better than those of regular Youtube-dwelling spergs. All most all of them are about Social Justice too, and there was one where he basically called Bungee racist for giving the Spartans blue eyes.

That makes two of us - this guy is a bit of whiner, IMHO - and I've seen that video - actually, all 4 of them, to be exact. So much butthurt, save for a few bright spots.

From what Regular Show episodes I've seen it seems alright, it's basically stoner TV but not too stoner.

This guy has already retired from the review business, but there's plenty of bad stuff to rip on him about: a crappy animated character, brony sperging (he despises anyone saying the show is for little girls), failing at being an angry critic and his shouting and bitchiness. Here's an example.

People like him make me really hate that damn pony show so much..... I don't care what anyone says, I've seen better (if not smarter) shows for myself than that that deserve more love. But that' just me. And I cannot repeat myself on this enough.

Fairly certain it's a shoop but still made me laugh really hard
I know RLM doesn't really deserve to be in this thread but /tv/ dug up some info about them prior to the Plinkett reviews. Back when they were really really obscure.

I don't know if Mysterious Mr Enter counts. He has an Encyclopaedia Dramatica page and has a very specific and narrow way of looking at cartoons and reviews, but his complaints are legitimate at times and deals with criticism well.

I don't find Mr. Enter here to be that bad, actually. Sometimes what is says is valid but he can just come across as obnoxious. Almost every other "Animated Atrocity" of his is some Spongebob episode and he reviews the show so often that you wonder why he still even bothers to watch it. Its like he's just actively finding stuff to complain about.

I thought that RLM stuff was all just the ramblings of a disgruntled ex-friend of theirs. Though at the very least it gave us the Mike "Third-Reich" Stoklasa meme

Pretty much. Gilchrist is a bit cool cause he's the guy behind the Recobbled cut of "the Thief and the Cobbler", but it seems like most of what he said was a version of the truth, if a bit over dramatic.

This is what bugs me about him too. It's almost always a SpongeBob episode. I mean he does bring some valid points about the episodes themselves I suppose, but it's definitely a textbook case of "Reviewer whining about shit he should have outgrown" syndrome. It's the same reason I can't stand people like BentheLoony or TV Trash (or most of TGWTG).

I think I read somewhere that he does it for catharsis, to let his emotions out on something he doesn't like, that he's seen. Although, you must wonder why he chooses to marathon all of these spongebob seasons if he knows that he won't find anything he loves. I think he channels his rage from the same realm as the nostalgia critic in that he reviews things he doesn't like from his childhood. However, he still watches them today which makes him a bit childish. I won't judge him though.

Unlike you, I would judge him - he wishes he were Notalgia Critic with how he tortures himself like this... Kind of pathetic, really, even if just IMHO...
