Maybe some pay pigs pre-ordered and gave him their codes? It doesn't seem like they came from Activision or anyone, but I'm basing that largely on the fact 3 is a weird number for a promotional giveaway like that.
 
This has to be a thinly veiled plan for INTERACTIVITY. This is not something that he does normally, and probably bought 3 extra codes knowing that that sweet Tut cash is coming in. He figures, “fuck it, I’ve got a ton of cash coming in soon, $180 will keep my peons in line and possibly bring in new viewers if they think they’re getting something in return!”

Prestream started and Dave said he got the three codes when he downloaded the game. Other folks

So is this a thing then? Are some people just randomly getting extra codes? I've heard nothing of this before but it's not unbelievable. I mean if he's giving out codes then I can't fault him if they were given to him, accidentally or not.

Nah, you can see his little outburst about me in one of Pocoks pubg TIHYDPs. He was being especially salty 1 night and banning anyone who was saying he was bad at the game. I just asked his mods if it was a normal thing (I never watch his stream much anyway so I legit didn't know). And he stops playing and says I was disrupting the stream for 20 minutes and banned me. Then did a little shit talking afterwards.

But I thought he'd just timed me out. I didn't know it was a perma. Like I said though, he must've had a bad cramps that month.

Edit for actually - I know he meant for the beta. But I'm pretty sure you only get 1 code per pre-order. Meaning you pre-order the game for yourself and you get a code to try it early. So I still don't know how he got at least 4 (1 for himself 3 to giveaway).

I'm pretty sure it's codes for the Beta, not the full game.

Edit: Kills a guy who says "Oh my god" (I couldn't even heard it) in a way that sounded remotely like Cookie Monster. Cue hysterics and repeats of the line for the next 5 minutes while over-ACK-ACK-ACK-ting. Oh, and as noted, camping like a bitch-made pussy continuously. Got blown the fuck up and finished #2.

Even Phil has to realize that any dreams of being a top Twitch streamer are long dead and that morons throwing hundreds of gifted subs at his followers is the only way he's gonna maintain any illusion of being successful at his job.

The name was CountryOf Afghanistan not Pakistan. Several folks in the chat remembered the guy and pointed out Dave's mistake. So, guy used to tip you big money and you have no idea what his name was. He remembered the money though. I also enjoyed the hints about remembering when folks 'used to come in and tip big money'.
 
If tut was intelligent he would had a little fun making phil work for his money. Maybe insult Kat, make gout jokes,, condition money on juicy questions. Basically see how far he could push Phil while these donating obscene amounts. It was a golden opportunity... I mean this was obviously for thrills wasn't it? Instead he just spams emotes....
