I was just re-reading my post, and I noticed the reblog: "Odds are he’s more embarrassed of having a trans ex-kid than I am of being outed at work, so what if I go to his job and tell everyone I’m trans first? What then, coward?"

Okay kiddo, just know that no one will really care and your ex-dad will only hate you even more. But hey, make a scene (for no reason other than what I can assume to be revenge) if you want to, I guess.

Tumblr hates people with money.

I honestly don't understand what point qhelet is making in the reply.

Considering that most of Tumblr are sheltered middle class kids I find it funny that they hate people with money.

They can keep talking shit like that all they want. People who actually aren't rich can't stand those assholes so they're not doing anyone any favors.

"I'm an incompetent, self-absorbed, incredibly stupid (wo)manchild and my ego is far more important than becoming a better writer, artist, musician, etc."

If you put your shit on the internet, literally anybody can comment on it.

If you're so fucking paranoid about some weirdo dumping a bucket of water on you (as if getting drenched is at all comparable to someone talking about a piece of art), then don't go outside.

what kind of agenda is this post even pushing

I mean, if people want to pull their child out a school with a transgender, you shouldn't start ridiculing them for their beliefs. This post is only supported by Tumblrites because "REEEEE trannys shouldn't be shunned from society."

It looks like part of the top is true, though the dates seem to be off per Etymonline (according to the site, "man" in the sense of an adult human is c. 1000AD). That said, wer and wif (or werman and wifman) were still used to differentiate the sexes, so - quelle surprise - the medieval period was not some kind of gendered pronoun-free tranny utopia.

You can pick apart the rest of their assertions the same way. This shit really grinds my gears, because they're taking context-sensitive historical practices and projecting their modern viewpoints on it (but still practice cultural relativism in the modern day, go figure). Okay, so boys and girls wore the same things in early childhood in a different era, what does that have to do with now? Are you going to expect me to take you seriously nowadays if you put on a fedora and start talking like Bogart?

I formerly knew one of these who asserted that Joan of Arc was trans because she wore men's clothing. Don't even get me started...
