Money drives everything in the American judicial system. Another factor to consider in "who prosecutes this" is scope of duties. A local county sheriff may not equipped or inclined to deal with internet shenanigans (especially the same sheriff whose office has been soundboard prank called in the past).
Null did the right thing by filing with IC3. However, as AnOminous and others have pointed out, it may not be worth the effort and expense to them to prosecute.

This feels like de`ja vu.

Yeah, it seems like most likely thing that's going to spark a conversation like that to Chris is when Barb dies, gets her house gets repossessed and Chris is forced to look for a new place to live.
What are the chances that Cole Smithey would help Chris out in this hypothetical situation after Barb dies?

Why doesn't Chris just wish Cryzel or whatever back to not being tortured? Isn't he the God of his own imagination?
I've scratched my head over this too. Here's my autistic take on it; Chris believes it's real and he created it, but creator is all he was. After that, things happened that he couldn't control. He just creates.

Why not the credit card company? They're often reasonably good about that. I know someone who got scammed a lesser amount via ACH.
I'm a little late, but credit card companies and banks love when you let them know about fraud, because then they don't have to pay the charge. There have been personally known instances where banks will reverse $80k wire transfers as long as you get it to them quick enough (fuck you spear phisher fucks targeting old people.) That's where fraud occurred. Did it here? He did this purposefully. It was extorted from him, but the CC/bank is going to need a REALLY in-depth explanation for them to help here as he made any purchases of his own volition. Legal is the only realistic recourse here.

Separately @AnOminous and/or @Ginger Piglet , what would punitive damages against a delusion look like? How would a jury value damaging Sonichu? How could you even establish value in this kind of framework?

Very recently Chris did bring Salmonella (whatever her name is, the one that was killed by an exploding toilet) back to life, but that was before the Idea Guys.

My take is that the Idea Guys have fucked up his brain so much with their multiverse bullshit, that Chris no longer has any grip on his fantasy and is at the mercy of their narrative.

I know we all like to lol at Chris, but this is legit awful. He actually thinks they're hurting people he loves. And I get that it's a little crazy, but he's severely autistic and because of his parents he didn't get any help, but that's besides the point. These assholes are just as autistic and weird to 1. do this to someone with diminished capacity and 2. to spend 9 fucking hours roleplaying. This makes me really angry and sad. And I'm annoyed that the FBI and cops aren't doing anything about it. Who does this? Christ.

My question is that Chris claims he’s been to cwcville. He’s married to Magichan and Mewtwo and two other sonichus. Yet here we see that apparently Wild has a drug den and Magichan is arrested. Wouldn’t Chris know his ‘husband’ has been arrested and wouldn’t someone had told him when he visited that all this other shit went down?

I get he has autism, but how is he logic-ing this for himself right now?

The issue is having incriminating information and blackmailing Chris with it. The fact that they obtained the incriminating information by criminal means itself? That makes it worse and would be grounds for punitive damages.

The fact is, though, $6,000 is well within the range of a small claims suit. A normal person can do that without a lawyer. Unfortunately, this is Chris. He might try asking someone like Legal Aid whether they can explain it to him or help him at all. The trouble is actually collecting against someone out of state, serving them, etc.

It's ugly enough material it's possible someone will take it pro bono, too.

We need to get this motherfucker on Judge Judy ASAP. She'll straighten all the bullshit out.

What’s really sticking with me is the brief mention Null made about Chris admitting he’s a pedophile and raped his mother at some point. Fuck, I REALLY hope that isn’t true.

This has all become 100% sad.

It isn't. It's what they were trying to blackmail him with after they got their claws in.
