Did you expect this to go any other way when Chris has unlimited access to the internet 24/7? Did you expect warm fuzzy feelings, a true and honest sweetheart, or whatever other fucking memes exist? How did you expect his mental state to not degrade from actual years of isolation, both socially and physically?

The problem with this argument is that those tards used this moon laser autism (let's call this point A) to extract false video confessions and video recordings of crimes/embarrassing behavior (point B) and then used those as extortion material for money (point C).

If the chain of A>B>C doesn't qualify for extortion, then B>C will do just fine in the courts' eyes, and Rekieta demonstrated as such with VA state and Federal laws & precedents in his video that you probably didn't watch. Literally took him 10 minutes to do so, imagine what prosecutors who are doing this without drinking Kentucky whiskey can do.

TL;DR: Josh Wise and Stephen Boyd are extremely fucked if the Jerkops do their job.

No one was under any illusions Chris wasn't mentally unwell, but it's gone far from merely having a weak understanding of reality, now he's been psychologically tortured into doing acts against his will by sociopaths who have exacerbated the problem far worse than it would have become naturally.

Again, I'm missing the point where I'm supposed to feel bad. Call it edgy, desensitized, or whatever else seems fit, but it's really hard to drum up any sympathy from the reserves. I can even go hard /pol/ and say that I would likely classify Chris as subhuman, but that's a power level right there.

This seems like a perfect fit for wanting to live your life on the internet, and not knowing when it's time to disconnect.

Also, Chris can ignore internet trolls. He's being paid to socialize with them, which breaks his ability to "ignore".

The two options then are:
  1. give up trying to make money online
  2. have someone filter his paid requests

What actually occurs from a dox? Getting people's identity, street address and anything else that may follow seems like it's the first thing on the syllabus for "how to internet 101." But once you have that information, you have to actually act on it and not just waive it around. Nobody really cares if you get 40 Papa John's deliveries over 30 days.

Granted, there's a bit more meat to this matter (that I just don't care to process fully), but getting doxxed isn't actually the end of the world. It is if you're stupid and sensitive.

I understand that completely. But there is a thread dedicated to Gail Chord Schuller on this site, a woman who is clearly schizophrenic and has had a cabal of trolls convincing her to do things like videotape herself naked, forgo medication and cut off contact with her family for years. It’s the exact same circumstances as Chris, except it’s been going on for much much longer and with much greater and negative effect.

We are in a forum that helps perpetuate these exact type of circumstances. Acting shocked that cretins like these two are exporting Chris is absurd considering the nature of this place.

I have to agree with you here. So far it sounds like no authorities are interested in bringing charges, and there have been no serious mention of vigilante justice on our part (which is understandable if we're still holding out for legal recorse. Legit sociopaths, which these people are looking like, don't respond to anything other than fear of real, hard consequences. That's literally the only effective treatment modern psychiatry has found for keeping sociopaths/psychopaths in check. Publicly available housing info just ain't gonna cut it.

It's a little more nuanced than that.

These people probably didn't have much of a future career that didn't involve wearing paper hats, but if they did, this notoriety will definitely make things difficult for them.

But you're right in that many people overestimate the risk in being doxed as well.

It's not the authorities aren't interested in bringing charges. That implies (at least to me) that we spoke to a prosecutor and they specifically said "nah".

This is more that we're having trouble getting someone to return our calls. Usually when it comes to these sorts of crimes, you do need to put in a little legwork to get noticed. That's pretty much the case with all internet crime that isn't copyright infringement or child pornography.

Heh, the only place where internet crime is vigorously pursued is in shitholes like the UK, and they spend their time pursuing people for nazi pug videos, and that's generally an attempt to distract from their incompetence in dealing with IRL crime.

We might see results, we might not. We haven't exhausted our options yet. (We haven't really gotten into the full swing of the process, even.)

Sorry, let me clarify. All three individuals involved are probably fucked in the head. They have a great defense to say, "Chris is a celebrity rolling in fan money" or "there are thousands of posts littering the Internet from Chrisperts saying that Chris is not that crazy, he's just playing, we were playing too." If you don't know Chris and all you have is a superficial grasp of his antics on the Internet, it's easy to raise a reasonable doubt as to whether or not Chris was in on this the whole time. This especially becomes more prevalent, like I said, when you go back, and you have people refuting Chris' insanity as mere optimism.
