That would be quite interesting indeed...

Edit: As someone who's been involved in this pretty heavily, I am open to the idea if anyone wants to nominate me depending on if TJ agrees to this whole thing. :sighduck:

Hey guys- I had an idea you guys might be able to help develop!

So I was thinking- why don't we afford Dr. Church an opportunity to have his thread removed? A noble contest of will and intellect, ala the Liquid Chris Singstar Challenge! And the victor could decide the fate of this very thread. As for the contest itself, it could take a number of forms, but I've been thinking of a writing competition. TJ feels writing is a strength of his, and prose seems an excellent way for him to demonstrate his superior intellect.

So, here's how I envision this going down...

Step One - we agree upon a format and topic (for example- a science fiction short story, an erotic poem, a treatise on the CWCki Forums and their detrimental effect on society as a whole, or perhaps none of the above). TJ would have input as to the contest's format, of course.

Step Two – CWCki forums nominates a champion (or maybe 2-4 champions), and everybody involved submits their work to a chosen forum moderator, who in turn, publishes the finished product without any names attached. This would prevent people from reflexsively shitting on TJ's work, or mindlessly voting for our champion, thus insuring TJ gets a fair shake.

Step Three – We read the finished products, and vote for “The Best.” Once the voting window closes, the moderator would reveal the authors, and the votes would be tallied. And if TJ prevails, we would remove the thread. And if he loses, well, he admits to being bested fair and square. Either way, the forum gets itself a much-craved injection of Hot TJ Goodness.

Anyway, that's my proposal! An honorable, winner takes all duel fought with pens, not swords. What do you guys think?

I would moderate that.

And his intellect, too:
TJChurch as rippitydoo said:
I am obviously very bright. Regardless, being stupid is not an actual mental issue, which you should know, being you're definitely one of the people who suffer from it.

Now, go Google Chris Nowinski & see if he can help you get into contact with some of the other NFL players & people who have helped them with their mental problems.
I mean, he even uses Google as a source.
Source.

What would be the optimal number of submissions/champions? I was thinking, four CWCki champions vs. TJ would be just about right. That would end up being five short stories (or whatever) for us to read through. And if it was just 1-vs-1 we could be missing out on some really fun content from CWCki forum authors.

I hope we can get TJ to agree to this...

Perhaps anyone who wishes to try their hand could have a go.
The bigger problem is that Mr. Church would need someone to write the start of his story.

I do think there needs to be a small number on our side actually. Wy would he agree to a contest with 1 of him versus x amount of Kiwis?

Perhaps Mr. Church should be allowed as many submissions as there are submissions from CWCki forum regulars (apart from himself).
That seems a bit out there to me and not really like a formal contest. If you're really reaching for it we should make a list of us, divide it into rounds and have TJ challenge us one versus one.

I call dibs on being the final boss since I suggested it and TJ is my buddy bro bro :story:

aside from the likelihood of tj's writing being painfully obvious to recognize, he also will probably try to choose the subjects himself so he could be lazy and use an older essay he already wrote or plagiarize someone else.
I'm sure a solution could be devised to prevent this. but judging from his past negotiations with LE, reasoning with him will be a monumental task, not to mention making sure he follows the rules if &/or when an agreement is reached.

My biggest thing with more than one of us is how is he going to trust that it won't be rig if he loses every round? What reason will he have to keep challenging us and writing stories in this contest?

I feel that this has already gotten far too confusing for Mr. Church to be able to follow. As evidence, I submit his response ratio to queries posed to him in this very thread.

true. I don't know how we could promise impartiality to him. we could have tj choose a judge but we all know it would just be a sock of his since I doubt anyone does any favors for him.
but perhaps he wouldn't care about it being 'fair' because in his mind, he's already won. alternatively, he may not even agree to take part because there's no way any of us could possibly reach his level of writing and therefore it'd be a waste of time for him.

just speculating, only one way to find out. I think someone should draft a very formal &/or verbose proposition that would get his attention (outside of this thread) instead of 30 people at once trying to pressure him. we've already seen he can only respond to one person at a time. like tgk, seems like this forum is too fast.

I already left a note on his profile a bit ago about the idea.

If we want to be a bit more formal then let's brain storm. He responds to me pretty often, but if anyone else wants to do it then I guess go for it.
