Can we stop with the back and forth of whether food addiction is a thing, because it is. https://www.rivermendhealth.com/res...diction-share-common-brain-mechanisms-part-1/
Food addiction isn't about being addicted to any food ever and binging on whatever exists. Junk food, high calorie food, high sugar foods are all known to light up the same places in the brain that drugs do, and can give similar feelings to an addict. You don't see food addicts addicted to salad, it's always the same stuff.
That said, it doesn't excuse Chantal or any of the other cows behavior, nor their "woe is me, I am an addict and can't help myself!" because there are real treatments that exist for all addictions and if they were serious they would do something about it. They use food addiction as a crutch, the same way a heroin addict or alcoholic would use it.
Let's all laugh at the cows, rather than play armchair addiction specialist.
