Is there any evidence that his plants are alive? Bamboo is the easiest plant to take care of. You keep it watered... He kept it on his desk so when he's "babysitting uploads" it's staring him right in the face. He's gotta be competent enough to fill it up every 2 weeks, right?
I have no doubt Phil could kill an artificial plant. Or cause a real one to jump out of the window and make a break for freedom.
Frankly, he would actually benefit from getting a cleaner to come in once a week and dust, vacuum, water the plants and things like that. He and Kat both work full time, so they would have a cleaner house and more time together, but Phil would never dream of spending money on something that would actually improve things, that would give him less to bitch about. He would rather eat expensive TV dinners and go on absurd mini-holidays and pay two fucking mortgages and sit in filth. He has enough money coming in to live SUCH a beautiful life, debts and all.
He needs to see an actual financial advisor and consolidate that debt, but that would mean, I think, that the lines of credit would then be closed, so he would be paying off but not then have recourse to the 'space' on the credit cards to Phil them up again.
Can someone in the States comment on how debt consolidation works in the US?
Speaking of long-term, I have a vague memory of Phil once saying that if everyone watching him gave him a dollar a month, he'd be really well off financially. Well since Twitch-viewers are some sort of number to definitively state how many people watch him, he'd be making less money than through Patreon at the moment.
It has been a couple years since he presumed such a silly thing, but even then he obviously didn't understand the true size of his audience, as opposed to what I like to call "onlookers." In the same way that a train wreck doesn't have an audience.
I remember that. I thought it was bullshit, as well. He ought to just give in and read all the troll-cheers (except the actionable ones, obv.) He has flat out admitted that he is only going to respond to shekels, so why not just be an honest whore? There is no shame in whoring, as long as you do it well, with pride, and get that money. Self awareness, however, is not his strong suit.
