Anyway, its interesting that he used the term "predictive computing" to, I think, in this context mean predictive code execution or branch perdition. Predictive Computing typically refers to things like predictive analytics in AI / machine learning.

Jesus, Frank. Get a better line of defense other than "but...but..Heinlein wrote about it!". And the industry required to weaponize Moon Rocks to the point where they can equate multi-megaton bombs is such that by the time they can do that, they can do a lot worse than dropping moon rocks. This is like being worried about a theoretical tank attack on American soil because the enemy soldiers will get out of their tanks to shoot people with their side arms.

There are 3 Wu donors who work at Microsoft (one in the Boston office). It's not inconceivable that one of them could have gotten a panel invite or something.

Holy shit I am super uncomfortable reading this, because I just realized something - and I'm going to :powerlevel: a bit here:

When I was younger, maybe 14 or 15 years old, I would roleplay on IRC. It was stupid shit that we did for fun, but we'd pretend to be things we weren't for a kick. Rock stars, computer programmers, druggies, whatever. We'd throw around terms like BriBri does and feel good about ourselves at how smart we were. Dumb shit, I know, but this is exactly what Wu does.

The biggest difference is that I grew out of it and John is doing it into his goddamn 40's in real life.

Man, that's an uncomfortable part of my life. I really hate Brianna Wu for making me re-live that. I never want to be a teenager ever again.

Microsoft field offices routinely open their conference and meeting space and tech centers to things like technical user groups, tech industry stuff, code camps, meetings for other non-tech industries, non-profit's, and things like Toastmasters. They do it as kind of a probono thing to be cool people. If you walk into the NYC office for example on any given day, there is always half a dozen events that are not Microsoft events but rather one of these types of thing. It's likely this is whats going on here.
 
This would suggest Wu is going to Microsoft Build:

But she's not on the list of speakers, and it's a highly technical conference that wouldn't sit well with Wu's standard "GAMERGATE REEEE!" speech.
Maybe she's only going to Seattle to be the booby prize at dinner for these poor saps.
