Whenever I notice that Wu doesn’t RT things like this, I assume it’s because she hates that she can’t control the conversation. The majority of people she has blocked are not blocked by Wheaton. He doesn’t hit the block button at the first sign of negativity in his posts from what I can tell. So the comments are more true to life. She doesn’t want legitimate complaints about her incompetence and lies going viral.


I suspect it’s the same reason she no longer promotes any events she’s doing and has never promoted her political events*. She doesn’t want the lies exposed.

*Star Wars is the exception, but just barely. And that was something she had control over, much like per personal Twitter.

Somehow, I'm not at all surprised Wil Wheaton endorsed Brianna. I'd be more surprised if a limp-dicked soyboy like him didn't, tbh.

There's no real gotacha moment here. He'd just pivot and say that yes it's important because he shows a history of RAPE CULTURE in popular videogames.

He’s pathetic, I remember in the early days of PAX he would setup a picture station for idiots to take a picture with him in random places. He’d drop his backpack and just stand there waiting for people. Those who didn’t watch TNG wondered who he was.

If I'm old enough to remember that Charles Johnson was once one of the most vile, racist, white supremacist shits on the internet then Wu should be too. I don't know whether he had some sort of road to Damascus experience or just gradually game to realise the people he hung around with were fucking nutcases, or just what happened to him. Whatever the case, I'm prepared to accept his change of heart is genuine, I'm not prepared to accept that he can just continue being on the internet and is now considered "woke" enough for Wu to retweet. The sort of person he used to be, he needs to go away to an ashram high up a mountain in tibet for 20 years and take a vow of silence to atone.

(You're thinking of Charles C. Johnson, who is still currently a shithead as far as I know. This Charles Johnson is the Little Green Footballs one who was a thoroughgoing racist through much of the 2000s, but I think perhaps people forget that.)
