He came back (charred like a fucking Looney Toons character) at the end bit, but Bart used Sun Tzu's The Art Of War to knock down Nelson's guard enough to push him into a basket of laundry Willie was pushing through the canteen. Willie then tipped the contents into a furnace, and put an MP3 Player on, drowning out Nelson's screams to let him out.

Is this show literally just Family Guy now?

Family Guy can at least be self-aware. Like when they were trying to win an Emmy by copying Emmy winning shows, and at the end the actors from the shows explain exactly why Family Guy is terrible.

Well they did the James Woods 'Ooh Piece of candy!' bit here too.

It's also been rather creative this season with the format of its episodes.

Family Guy has gone experimental this season with some hits and misses, but still props for them for taking risks.

Simpsons right now is a hit or miss too but no risks are taken and they just rehashed some old plots and some callbacks to nostalgia.

The Australian and Japanese stereotypes were all true though.

"Bart vs. Australia" is a top 25 episode for me but, to be honest, I found "Thirty Minutes Over Tokyo" weak when it was new. The American-themed restaurant where the tables are in the shape of states was clever but other than that, it felt like rehashes of Japanese stereotypes I'd already seen done better elsewhere (like Mike Myers-era Saturday Night Live for the Japanese game show). Even the "Mr. Sparkle" episode from 2 seasons earlier was a better send-up of Japanese tropes.

All I'm gathering from the Apu thing is that the butthurt guy is the definition of socjus privilege and entitlement.

"BUT I GOT OFFENDED AND SCREAMED REALLY LOUD!"

So The Simpsons owes you what exactly? Should they check their privilege? Fire Hank Azaria? Digitally remove Apu from every episode? Apu is one of my favorite characters and I'm glad they did what they did.

So now this idiot's like "HOW DARE THEY NOT BEND TO MY WILL! I'LL HOLD MY BREATH AND STOMP MY FEET!"

He's never going to be happy no matter what. Let him screech.

Maybe if he screeches loud enough, he could get another documentary about how the show itself insulted him. Maybe get MovieBob to co-host with him.

Actually watched the new episode and even though there are some bad executions like the modern Simpsons episodes, the jabs at the political correctness are pretty spot on and seeing the guy making the documentary REEEEEEEEEEEEing is hilarious.

Still, some parts could've needed some polish.

One of my all-time fave clips.

Apparently, The Simpsons Uncensored Family Album, a book from the early years I remember flipping through at W.H. Smith (when they still had those bookstores in Canada) but never bought specifies on a family tree that Uncle Arthur (Bouvier) is Marge's uncle, not Bart's (to whom he'd be a "great uncle"), otherwise he'd be the weird brother to Marge, Patty, and Selma who would otherwise never have been mentioned.
