For the longest time I wasn't sure what to think of Zaush. As much as I had heard about them, they were only accusations, and those are dime-a-dozen these days, with there being a number of false ones for the sake of petty shit or attention. I know that he was always a topic of debate in the fandom, and some people were either for or against him. I never defended the guy; I simply wanted to wait for solid proof before taking a stance because it could have gone either way. And what do you know? The truth comes out and pretty much affirms that he's a fucking creep! Could taking a stance be any easier now? I don't think so.

A suspected horsefucker/fencehopper like Chris Sawyer would do well to keep his mouth shut and not defending Zaush. And you’d think Sawyer would have something to say about allegations and evidence that Zaush is an abusive boyfriend but, no. Funny how he’s silent on those long standing concerns.

He used to be a staffer at at least AC until a few years ago when his dirty little secret came out. These days he just gets away by messaging teenagers about how flexible they are and if they can suck themselves off and creeping on people in conventions. Trust me, I know that shit won't happen, fftopic: with the shit I seen go down in the fandom, they sure love sweeping shit under the rug, both the old farts and new shits that come ain't any different. It's a game of who can pull the most stunts and get away with it in the end.

The fandom doesn't need a reform, at this point, it should really go, far past the point to reflect on itself, then again it's not like furries bother to.

Zaush has been a figure of public ridicule and contention within the fandom for a long time. The main thing in his defense before was that they were only accusations, but at this point, there's easily enough proof to end up with most of his fanbase turning on him. It's possible that half of his people on Patreon don't pay attention to drama, as surprisingly, this thing hasn't seemed to spread to the entire fandom because, and this shocked me with how much shit goes down in the fandom, a lot of people are oblivious to that shit. Hell, think of how there were still people supporting Spoony after he stopped doing his thing. It's entirely possible some people forgot they were even supporting the guy.

Regardless, I wouldn't be surprised if it goes either way, here, honestly.

I doubt Zaush's Patreon is going to take a significant hit. The types of people who are pledging to his page are either:
A) Creeps that are into pedo stuff themselves and thus are totally okay with it
B) Don't give a shit and just want their furry porn

There's no investment required to follow someone on Twitter which is why he's lost a few hundred followers, but with Patreon you're putting up actual money and thus you probably wouldn't pledge to a page unless you were already okay with his content regardless of where the source material actually comes from. Shmorky took a hit on Patreon during his little scandal because at the time he hadn't built up a reputation around creating artwork of characters with questionable ages, he just drew cutesy/edgy shit and when the pedo stuff came out a lot of people jumped ship because they weren't aware of it to start with. Zaush has been a slimeball since day 1.

Eh, given Patreon probably makes hundreds a month off Zaush, I could see them turning the other way on this. The dude has had this coming for a long time, but I won't be surprised if he scurries out like a cockroach and survives. I noticed he hasn't posted in the last couple days, so he's definitely being smart and keeping his head down for the sake of self-preservation.
