Just want to give props to Brianna for sticking to her guns and blaming everyone else for what boils down to her being a lazy, unwashed, lying sack of garbage.

How is that hard for a software engineer? It doesn't sound hard. It sounds like something you have an intern do because it's so easy.

Please say I'm not the only one confused by this.

1)Why would you manually manage a CSV? As long as it doesn't have a comma or a line return you're pretty safe

2) why would you manually format a CSV? Just open it in excel and save as .CSV lol.

3)why would you drag a .CSV into a compressed file that contains a .exe? If the .exe was evoked, it would attempt to execute but because it's compressed, would just extract into a normal folder anyway.

Bonus: how did John know this ghetto ass application was compressed with winzip?

I'm assuming the FEC is the place he needed to submit his finances to, yet he hasn't done it yet?

Hold up.

How do you "manually format a CSV"? What does that even mean? CSV stands for "comma-separated values". It's a format. Excel saves to CSV. You don't have to manually do anything. Christ, even if you're literally writing software from scratch there's libraries that automatically generate CSVs.

Edit: lol me and poster above posted almost the same thing simultaneously

I missed the "formatting" part. Jesus. Unless the FEC's software worries about quote marks around numbers, there is no "manual formatting".

How did it take this long for this dumb broad to send her shit to the FEC? Oh wait, :autism:.

Manually formatting a CSV?

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Call me a stickler for the rules if you want, but perhaps the time to worry about this was not TWO DAYS AFTER THE DEADLINE.

For anyone not technically minded and going "what the fuck are they on about".

When you open a .CSV file in notepad it looks like this:
CSVEXAMPLE.png

Thinking spreadsheets, a comma means a new column and a new line means a new row.
So that example will produce:

John is saying a government fucking officials don't understand CSV files, and thats why the filings were late.

This is severely fucking autistic because anyone with half a brain cell knows how CSV files work.

Eh, newspapers have historically (for the most part) separated their reporting from their editorials. It's only in this "fake news" and "post fact" era (scary imo) that the line is becoming blurred. Papers on both sides of the aisle, like the NYTs and WSJ have, for the most part, maintained the integrity of their news reporting as separate from their editorials.

From a casual perspective Wu comes across as somebody fairly important so it's no surprise that she gets publicity. It is surprising though how long she has managed to maintain the charade and the media certainly takes some blame for that.
She keeps talking, so she must be important.

Also, what does he mean, "dragged to a Winziped [sic] .exe?"

That's not language a programmer would use. That's language an end user who only knows GUIs would use.

It may be an old system but everyone else- most of whom are not tech-savvy ENGINEERS- seems to do okay with it, why can't Moonrocks Wu?

...background checks are going to probably be limited to "are they actually running?" due to time constraints.

They didn't even get that right.

Manually formatting a CSV?

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

John is an idiot. The FEC used to do these databases in EBCDIC with fixed-length format.

And this cocksucker is complaining about csv.
