It’s really for one reason and one reason only: he can’t creep on lesbians.
On Twitter, he can slip into their mentions and virtual signal and they might even reply back.
On Facebook, all he has are his fans.

Race-baiters always avoid bringing up DS9 because it was an excellent example of what their opponents always say: that if you write a good character who happens to be [X], it's better than writing a character whose whole point is being [X]. Sisko is hugely popular because they decided to write him as a badass captain who also happens to be black, as opposed to making it a constant, huge deal about "LOOK AT THE BLACK CAPTAIN, GUYS!"

Besides I imagine all the moral grey areas gave Dobson the prickly-wicklies and he never watched more than a few eps.

Dobson seems to have this compulsive necessity to be a drama whore 24/7 by spewing out every little grievance and thought he has on whatever social media platform he can, even if he doesn't like FB. Showing some sort of restrain or self-control seems completely impossible for him. He could have waited for his Twitter suspension to be lifted and stay quiet in the meantime, I thought this thread was going to severely slow down for a couple of weeks but it is more active than ever because Dobson just can't shut up, ever.

Dobson is to trolls what chum is to sharks.

Thing is, Dobby doesn't really care. About anything. LGBT, race, trans issues, feminism, you name it. He doesn't care.
