You should definitely come into a thread made to mock you and treat everyone else like they're idiots and refute every single one of their comments and questions. Act like you're better than them, too. I think this will be a good plan.

You guys are exasperating! Now, to make it clear, my "love" for him is a mix of "I love him because he is a character neglected of being loved for too long" and "I love him because he is, as I see him, the Ultimate Lovable and Tender Hearted Wise Teacher in Fantasy" and also "I love him because he keeps my inner child alive and happy and healthy" so I want to convey this in many ways to others. Children, and people who still have an inner child alive inside them.

I'm not saying I'm the only one who loves him and writes about him in a positive way. Just no one does it like I do, because no one has the perspective and insight of him I do.

And, as for the guy who threw out the "idea" you seriously lack an understanding of who he is. I have 10 movie plots lined up for years to come, and they are ones that show him respect in better ways than that.

As I said, you need to wait to read my next novel before you make better judgments of me. I plan not to keep around here for long. I just felt the need to correct at least a few of the falsehoods I've noticed brought up.

You may think me weird all you want to. You can say what you want about me. I am expecting criticism from your kind in the future.
So why exactly did you come to these forums then? Did you just want to rant and rave at a group of people who, at worst, find you extremely odd to be dedicating your life to a fictional character?

Dude, if you want to use your life to worship Wogglebug, do it. If you honestly care about your craft and "want to make things right," stop worrying about what a bunch of people on a forum think. Don't explain how you're going to do this or that, just DO IT. It's not a hard concept.

Hey you, yeah you, guy with an 'idea' for a 'story'. I understand the minor fictional character made by some guy who's been dead for decades than you do! So nyeh.

Will you please address the rumors that the Wogglebug is, in fact, an eldritch abomination sent to Oz to prepare a race of healthy bodies in which others of his kind are to flee after their ancient battle against the mad god Yog-Succotash?

Who is he, though? Could you please explain for the members of this forum what kind of unique characteristics the Wogglebug has? What puts him above other fictional characters?

She certainly reveres him like a lovecraftian lunatic would revere an Old God

You know, you keep bringing up this voice actor without giving any names. Is there a reason as to why, like a non-disclosure deal? Or are you just making this shit up as you go along? 'Cause I would seriously like to know.

Also, it is weird to love a throwaway humanoid cockroach character. We do this all the time towards other people in other fandoms, so what makes you think you're so special?

Genuine question: could the voice actor's enthusiasm for the project perhaps be coloured by the fact that he receives money for participating?

I'll try to make this my last reply for awhile. First, I am telling the truth about the Wogglebug's voice actor. I don't give his name because I respect his boundaries and I don't want any of you making the attempt to bombard him or stalk him. He'd never do well with such a thing. I respect him like I respect the Wogglebug.

I wasn't planning to come here for at least a while, but a few of the things I read got too exasperating for to avoid the temptation. I do NOT worship the Wogglebug. I am an atheist and understand the differences of fantasy from reality and that worship of anything real or imaginary either way is improper.

And once again, call me weird if you want. But I have no interest to stop loving the Wogglebug. And I plan to use most of your questions for my "Frequently Asked Questions" page to come to my website in the near future. So, in a way I thank you for bringing up a few of the questions worthy of putting up on it, and their answers.

It seems like you're pinning a lot of hope on this novel, you've mentioned it both in the Amazon reviews and twice in this thread. What will you do if it flops?

Also, is it safe to assume you've made no money on this so far and are in the red?

I'm saving up the money I have made thus far. Not a lot yet. But I haven't got a lot of products out just yet. Things don't happen over the night, you know. But I'm always building on my franchise. Part of the reasons why I haven't as much out yet as I should is my illustrators need time allotted to finish their artwork, and the same with my voice actors.

And, as for if my novel "flops." That is really besides the point whether or not it does. It will explain my perspective and insight I have that others have lacked. Now, if you'll excuse me, I must leave for the moment.

I've actually done a tiny bit of research on the writer of the Oz series, L. Frank Baum. Honestly, he was a bit of a dick. His opinion on women's lib was, "Get back in the kitchen, bitch."

So the fact that this woman is writing for one of his characters is hilarious.

His name is Richard Poshard. You put it in one of your videos.

Er, Baum was actually married to an early feminist who was the daughter of another early feminist. There's a reason Oz is matriarchal.

Seriously, man. There are so many reasons to point and laugh here. Don't pick the one that's easy to disprove.

I must have read the wrong book then......

I did actually do some research, this time it was labeled as truth.

The Wogglebug can be quite a bit of a dick.

(From the wiki article on the character)

"The Woggle-Bug, like many of Baum's characters, contains many contradictions. He is polite, kind, and courtly while also at times being conceited and uncaring."
