Sure, we can remake Carrie to be black or trans or an immigrant or whatever, but don't ignore the fact that white cis girls can also still be bullied for whatever reason.
Hell, you can just make your own story about a girl being bullied & getting revenge based on YOUR experiences. You don't have to edit pre-existing media to fit the narrative you want to show.

Carrie just gets progressively worse the more times they remake it. The 1976 film is pretty much iconic and critically acclaimed and each time they try to redo it the finished product just manages to look dated and lame. I don't think adding ~black trans gurl UWU~ is going to help it. Especially since tumblr social justice seems to trend with stupid teenagers. If anything, the Carrie they're imagining would be a celebrated victim-queen in high school.
