So I bet that the twist ending in this story is that the game Lily is in is the game GK, Heather (Who probably got killed off in the story) and Luke made. Lily was already aware of her free will since the beginning. So he is going to become the God developer that enters the game to live out his power fantasy with fake Lily.

He literally linked to the old cwcki on cogsdev and he still acts like sado-Chris. Wow.

So Goldie is completely aware of Christory and has at least studied him when he first arrived here and still can't recognize fake gal pals and obvious imposters and compare his comic to Sonichu. That is what make GK worse is that he has an example of his madness that he is aware he has been compared to and ignores the comparison. Chris started the path but GK is a follower and that to me is much more pathetic. At least Chris liked to draw his comic.

I don't think he's ignoring the comparison. I think what's going on is that Goldie thinks he's soooooo much better than Chris that he thinks the same shit that happened with Chris won't happen to him. His ego also just sees the smaller side of it and isn't thinking past the surface - oh, I have someone interested in me right after Heather left? MUST BE TRUE LOVE, NO COINCIDENCES. There's someone with a similar name as me? I must be that popular! (or, alternatively, someone else who wants to be a knight, just like me!)

Honestly the man is just as smart as a bag of bricks.

Doesn't "featured extra" entail much more screen time and action than that?

"Featured extra" means an extra where you can actually identify the actor in the scene they're in. If there's crowd of angry people and the camera holds on one of their faces just long enough for you to register the emotion of anger, that's a featured extra.

Although, don't quote me on this, but I think a featured extra can have up to four lines before they're considered an actual actor. It might be they can say up to four lines, or if they have a fourth line they're not an extra anymore. I don't remember specifically. Whatever anyone who cares can look it up on the actor's union website.

Longtime lurker on this thread and oh man, it's been a wild ride. I'm breaking my silence because I think I found GK on House of Cards (episode 12 of season 1)

I'm assuming he's the one on the left (guy on the right turns around 2 seconds after this and is obviously not him). The image is dark, but I definitely see a mullet.
Also, yes this is the scene in the trailer park.

GodBear thanks you.

Going back to Lead Squire eating the sandwich for a sec, I imagine he looked a bit like this.

I love when people who film one scene one time as the result of being cast because they live near the set mention it as if they've done something really awesome and remarkable, like they were actually acting and needed talent and skill.

I'm not talking about all extras, there are some who have worked in literally hundreds of movies and TV shows and have some fascinating stories and should be proud of their work, but this is basically what happened in TGK's case:

- Casting call happened for locals to be extras
- He turns up, he is chosen because he is a young white male who won't stick out too much (probably also because of the mullet/trailer park thing)
- He turns up on set, hours before the scene is set to be filmed.
- Stands around waiting for hours as other scenes are filmed, equipment is set up ect.
- Might get some sandwiches and coffee from whatever mass catering is provided (certainly not what the featured actors are eating).
- Finally gets to film his scene after hours of standing in discomfort, quite possible freezing or sweating his ass off.
- Scene is filmed. Nobody knows his name.
- If he's lucky he gets some money (no more than $50, probably more like $10) and he goes home with no idea of when the episode will air and if his scene will even be included.

It's bad enough for extras who book jobs through their agents, life is ROUGH for extras who come from local casting calls. Often they're there for over 12 hours, they usually don't get costume or wardrobe attention (except in the case of things like the walking dead or period pieces where it's 100% necessary), they might get some food but it will be mass produced sandwiches and coffee or bottled water type stuff. If it's cold, they stand in the cold. If it's raining, they stand in the rain. If it's hot they sweat in the sun.

It's rough and I think people are crazy to do it. I've always felt sorry for extras, it's pretty thankless work. Then again some people are so thrilled to just be a part of a movie/show they're perfectly happy to stand in summer clothes in the middle of winter while the actors are given huge parkas and mugs of hot chocolate between takes. The point is, it's kind of misleading for him to say he's acted on TV.

I applaud the MST3K fandom, however, so a hearty high five. I've met Joel. Super awesome guy.
I got super into the show when I was 9 years old, and completely forgot about it until my ex-husband reintroduced me 6 years back. Always wanted to meet the guys behind it, especially Mike, Kevin, and Bill. It's super awesome you got to meet Joel though.
