After decades of relegating its LGBTQ characters to the sidelines, Marvel really turned things around with America and Iceman, its first two ongoing series featuring queer characters as their titular leads. Both books have been important additions to Marvel’s ever-expanding portfolio, but it seems as if the time has come for at least one of them to end. March’s comics solicitations are out this week and a number of titles including America are conspicuously missing, which heavily implies that the titles have been canceled. This afternoon, Marvel editor Heather Antos confirmed that Gwenpool, another title missing from the March solicits, was definitely canceled, further suggesting that any titles missing from the lineup as of today are done for.

Not entirely true. The Superman in the world where most of the heroes are black (Except Batman, for some reason) is president of the United States.
That's a common misconception of Earth 23. The only "race swapped" character is Superman and the idea was any black counterparts became more popular than their peers. For example, John Stewart would've been "the" Green Lantern as opposed to Hal Jordan, Conjura became more well known than Zatanna, or Nubia is Wonder Woman instead of Diana. There really isn't anyone else that would fill Batman's niche so nothing majorly different there.

Not really sure the best way to describe it in a few words but "race swapped" isn't it. More like an Earth with a shifted focus I guess.

Just make a new superhero, make them a total badass with awesome powers and an intriguing backstory, and then make them queer. Do your fucking job.

But how would that destroy someone else's creation?

The fuck's her super power? The ability to eat a box of krispy kremes in under a minute?

The ability to suck all the fun out of a room just by walking into it.

Here's some salt on TV Tropes about not only the cancellation, but also the removal of pointless jab at Trump:

I thought they were about minorities, but written by white men. That's how it works right?

Except they completely destroyed the Marvel Universe to write in all these social justice characters. So, they gonna have a deus ex machina of the deux ex machina?

Does that mean the next Marvel vs. Capcom is better? I hope.

Only if there are no SJW-pandering characters from Marvel in it - Capcom should be safe from this shite though, so there is quite a lot of hope. I wouldn't know for sure, however - the closest I've ever been to this series is MvC2, honestly.

Yes, but published by Valiant not Marvel. Hero takes selfie with Hillary at the end, because of course she does.

I may not like Trump, but I'm glad he won; more and more, I'm glad he won, because this shite is quite sadder than I previously thought.
