Today (well, late yesterday night), my mom and dad let Robby and I open some Christmas presents a little early. Robby got an art set and a novel about a saxophonist who came from a deadbeat family. I got some piano books featuring selections from Mozart and Chopin. I actually wanted a book of Bach’s two and three-part inventions, but I’m happy anyway.

Ever since I was eleven or so, I’ve wanted to be a virtuoso pianist, and although I’m not quite there yet, I know that if I keep at it, perhaps I will be someday.
 
Today I was supposed to do last minute shopping but instead I listened to Herbie Hancock and watched Logan. I guess there's still time left to go, but like. It's raining, my dudes. *sigh*
 
Today I have been listening to my family bitch about the holidays and the party they are throwing for themselves.

I had a weird dream last night where there was this commercial where these people were trying to make the niqab and chador a feminist, acceptable thing western women should wear by saying wearing one means that you are a lady and respectable. Also how cool it was to wear one since you can have them in different colors (the lady talking was wearing a pink one).
 
My mom gave me a sickly African Violet today; still flowering on the healthy parts and is pink-white.

-She said she saw it, thought of me, and then bought it on clearance.
