That's an interesting statement, because I think John would actually disagree with it.
By any conventional measure it's true - he has access to less family wealth and has no contacts within the traditional halls of power - government and high-status professions.
But on the other hand, he personally has access to more wealth since Frank will let him blow more money, with fewer strings attached, than his family ever did. Frank's total outlay at this point is more than what John's parents paid for college, SOCCON, and probably rehab too. And he has access to the kind of people he cares about - people who are themselves of no consequence but are in "influencer" positions in the media. From John's perspective, being able to get a few scraps of attention and perfunctory head nods from a senator is not superior to getting the same from a big name on Twitter.
So, I think if you caught John in an unguarded moment, he'd say - and honestly believe - that his life is better now than it ever was in Drumpf-issippi.

My personal OUTRAGEOUS IF TRUE story is that he intentionally didn't change the extended family Walker surname as his middle name just to be part of an inheritance. Brianna Walker Wu is a strange name after all and it hasn't been changed.

Listen to John do 70 in a residential neighborhood while flippantly admitting to other traffic law violations.

~3:30 he brings up the totaled Accord to justify the Cayman purchase then claims it was cheaper than a new Accord.

~13:50 Calls Audi TT a train wreck and a disaster.

~25:30 Fishtails "I need new tires." Dude in the car sounds scared.

*John thinks swapping out summer-only performance tires with winter tires is unique to Porsches

*John thinks you have to program the car for different tires and the car will inflate them automatically

I can't listen to the whole thing. Too much of the bugman in the passenger seat yapping about video games. But you can hear John mashing on the accelerator like a neanderthal.

Frank's constant habit of leaning in with his screaming faggot mouth open reminds me of this:

Can't even buy a cake without lying. What a fat fuck.

Why the fuck is this goddamn mongoloid screaming at a cake? Someone needs to slap that stupid scream off his face.

How is it possible to be an adult and this fucking ignorant of basic shit?

Also he forgot to flash the car's EPROM with extra RAM for its BIOS. Fucking pleb.

I think that instead of saying "Cheese!", Bri drops trou and shows him the cheese growing in the folds of his functional facsimile of a fuckhole.

Hence the scream.

lol got a source on that, John?

Of course he doesn't. And free college is only pissing our pants in the snow. It feels really good now, but doesn't do any good and causes problems later on.

Tuition costs spiked after Clinton made student loans federally backed. There was now no disincentive for banks/financers to give loans to prospective students. This incentivized colleges to simply attract as many students as they possibly can, usually by building upscale dorms, and passing these costs on largely invisibly in the form of tuition increases.
This is a case study in "when doing good does wrong".

If college was made "free", there would be no end to the cost spiral. Even worse, there'd be no way to exit said spiral, as universities would now depend on their free federal dollars just to run their infrastructue, and yanking that would cause them to collapse as students wouldn't be able to afford tuition without it.
Or you'd end up with a situation like in the UK where you're given a set amount of money, and colleges either go full capitalist and try to give you the cheapest education for that flat rate, or simply count that as free money and simply raise tuition proportionally.

Some states have begun offering free community college. This tends to work because
a) community colleges tend not to have college-owned student housing, or sports programs.
b) its usually fairly early in the program, so the free-money spiral hasn't ramped up yet
c) the market for community colleges is usually very tight - there aren't any "prestigious" CCs, so they all have fairly close tuition. There is no set price for colleges and universities, because of the number of intangibles.

Edit: The only way to offer free college would be implement "federal colleges" answerable to the government. And we all know how well the public school system has been working out.

Free college advocates also forget about programs like Job Corps that offer vocational training that's not only free but pays a stripend. But since it offers you training that directly relevant to getting a job (a filthy job in the TRADES where you have to work with your hands) and no degrees in Feminist Basket Weaving, it is exclusionary to people with fibromyalgia, late tumbr-onset PTSD, and social anxiety so it might as well not exist.

(Also look at some hilarious shit you can do with the post-9/11 GI bill. Note I'm purposely leaving out military service as a source of free college because joining the military solely for free college is a bad deal for you, and generally a bad deal for the military. )

At the end she mentions the Star Wars fundraiser again. That's 2 weeks from today.

The ticket sales site is still dead, and she's never attempted to sell tickets again after the initial announcement. I'm intrigued as to how that's going to work out. I guess we'll have to wait until January to see the full financial fallout from this whole debacle.

She also mentioned campaign ads on Stephen Lynch's record on trannyhood. That's yet to materialise.

Is it just me or does she sound drunk or high on that podcast? Especially towards the end, she speaking slower and slurring more than usual. I wonder if she's back on the prescription drugs or something.

Did Wu Wu ever stop chugging Tylenol? She always sounds slurry or dumb when she talks for too long.

Frank will foot the bill and John will love having a private screening in a movie theater. Twitter will be filled with tweets of how great is was and pictures of John, Frank, and the 1 retard that showed up. "He" will have brought his "girlfriend" along. The actual sexes of the attendees will be debated in thread. A small part of me wants to take off the 18th and get a first hand account. Boston isn't that far away. I wonder if I could throw a theater jockey a few extra bucks and get a ticket without having to give any money to John. I'd bs a bunch of shit and explain how I bought a ticket at the window and they'll get their money from the theater. Probably not since it's a private showing and I'm assuming the theater has some sort of procedure for that.

I love listening to how ignorant John is about cars. You would think master auto technician Flynt would have known about the over engineering that goes into most German made vehicles. The low oil light, and smell of burning oil when driven aggressively can only bring us lots of laughs in the months to come. Those are symptoms of a neglected/abused car. I'm going to predict this car is in need of major repair before the end of 2018.

Hey! He has a warranty from the Jeep dealership!
And it's more practical than a new Honda!
:story:

Speaking from experience... I guarantee John is a massive, know-it-all thundercunt to the mechanics.

Speaking from experience... I guarantee John is a massive, know-it-all thundercunt to the mechanics.

And I can guarantee from experience that John's Porsche is far too over engineered for him to work on. He's fucked if he tries even the most basic of mods. But we all know his ego will win over common sense and he'll have to do something to it so he can claim to be a certified Porsche tech.

Of course, already making stupid decisions.

John "Just Wing-It" Flynt said:
Tire Rack has the Michelin Pilot Alpins on sale for $147, so I picked them up. I assumed getting them mounted and balanced would be under $100, but I was shocked to see it will be $150 to $200! This will be a non-trivial expenditure 2x a year.

So these guys on the forum who actually know what they are doing suggested buying a winter rim and tire set, which was good advice. John decides he knows better and gets a set of tires to swap on the existing wheels. Now that it's more expensive than he figured, he wants to know what wheels to get...

John "Never Listens" Flynt said:
OEM rims are stupidly expensive, even used. Any tips for good quality wheels to buy? My tire size is 265-40-R19.

So he apparently figured out how to read the sidewall, a definite improvement. The problem?... he only looked at the REAR tire size.

Some Mansplaining Planet9 Dude said:
The 265 is your rear tire, front should be 235.

It's pretty obvious what happened here. He went and bought 4 tires in 265, probably now thinks those Porsche engineers just don't know wtf they are doing, and will most certainly try to fit the 265's all around.

Apparently all of that Mississippi mechanic engine builder experience doesn't transfer over to the general car world. Or he's just full of shit about his mechanic days. I'll let you decide.

The same people who want all social media to become fortresses of groupthink are suddenly concerned about excessive control of the Internet. Fuck off.

I love how Americans don't know that other countries have the internet as well. If the FCC fucks them over, it wont have a lot of impact on other countries. Just streaming sites will want a bit more to make up the costs, but we're already dealing with that.
