They would not keep a baby in the hospital for jaundice. Pretty much every kid I know (including mine) had this, and the most severe cases were treated at home with little light-blanket things that made them look like glow-worms (cute and ridiculous).

The last time I heard of a kid staying in the hospital with this was my little sister, who is 32 now.

Oh well, big shock, Kailyn lies about EVERYTHING.

a poster on GG said something along the lines of "they'd only put a child with jaundice in NICU if it had a blood problem" but its obvious that's not the case.

There was a photo put up of Gracie's foot, with a weird-as-fuck tube with shit in it. There was loaaads of speculation as to what it was at the time, and it corroborates the whole bowel blockage thing.
 
Why does she lie so much? Is she a compulsive liar? I mean, she's lying about stuff that really doesn't need to be lied about since it's not that big of a deal.
 
^ I still wonder if her mom makes her lie so much, because she thinks the lies are protecting Kailyn, when in reality she's only making it worse. My mom was overprotective of me growing up (either that or she was ashamed of my weight) and would make up so many white lies about why I couldn't go to certain things.

Kai's been fed lies her whole life, the number one lie being about her condition. Either FAS, autism, water on the brain, mild downs (is there such a thing?), Kai thinks she's normal, because that's what mom has told her.
 
It's simple, she doesn't want people to think bad of her or Gracy - she wants her to be a normal, cute baby. and she wants to be a normal, cute mum. Its the reason she lied about her C-section, Gracie's health, how much time her and Matt spend together, etc.
 
Kailyn has pretty much the worst dietary habits I have seen. And her "prenatal vitamin" was a total joke (chewable gummy with no minerals at all). I don't want to go into crazy nutritional detail, but this kid certainly did not get what she needed to be a healthy baby. Add the shitty DNA and, well, it's almost a fucking miracle she survived at all.

It really pisses me off when pregnant women act like "oh, I can eat whatever I want cuz I'm preggo". Don't they realize they are feeding their baby's developing brain with cheetos and snickers?!? How do you not fucking get this?!?

I understand women have different reasons for things like not breastfeeding, but feeding a developing baby absolute trash is pathetic. Especially when she has hundreds of MAC lipsticks that cost $25 bucks apiece- she could easily afford an excellent prenatal and try thinking about someone (like the freaking fetus) other than herself.

OMG what is "rita's custard"? sounds like the stuff nightmares are made of....... :'(
 
I don't think everybody should be allowed to breed, just as I don't think everybody should be a surgeon. (Extreme example, I know)
Some people do not understand the idea of responsibility, or care for it, and when people say it's a human right to have children, they are forgetting the rights of those children born to people like Kailyn. I just don't get how in this culture it's been increasingly acceptable for careless self centered idiots to have as many kids as they want, and have people who actually do work and try to be responsible for themselves have to pay for it out of their own taxes.
What the hell are we teaching people by this?

Anyway... pretty sure whatever her daughter's health problem was at birth, will just be the first of many...

This is why I don't want to have kids. I have a mental illness and developmental disorder and I know that I wouldn't be a good mother. In fact, if I could I would get my tubes tied but they won't do that for me because it's deemed unethical to do a tubal ligation on someone that has never had children. I know that I could potentially be abusive and I wouldn't want that for someone innocent to go through that. So I feel that is probably responsible for me to not get pregnant. If I did get pregnant I would probably get an abortion or give it up for adoption. It's not that I hate kids, it's just
that I wouldn't be a good mother and I recognize that. Not many people do.and Kai is one of those people that don't realize that raising children is hard work. I actually do feel afraid for Gracie because I feel that Kai will be neglectful and that is a form of abuse.
