Team Four Star is part of the Channel Autism family, which is why some CA "talent" have been in the Abridged series. In fact, the guy who does Goku's voice in Dragon Ball Abridged just had a guest spot with Doug in the most recent Nostalgia Critic review of the live action Dragon Ball movie.
 
The fact that ya boi mixmaster link is getting into voice acting bodes for more shite being thrown into decent content and passed off as "cameos" until he eventually tries to show off his voice acting chops and do an abridged series.

Remembering how much of a comedic landmark atop the fourth wall was, I'm sure it'll be a powerhouse of genius.

Also I really wish TFS would be a little more worthy of having their own thread here, I could go off a tonne on just how much they know their own product is going to tank right after they release their finale of the cell saga.

:offtopic: I think DBZA's Cell Saga has been tons of fun, but I share next to no love with TFS. They rarely communicate with their audience outside of advertising more of their shit, the other content they produce is just boring, and when they do release statements on projects it's always in this coy, limited way that you know that they know you're wondering what's going on behind the scenes but they're also just going to make it a joke rather than actually address anything. They're really cringey people on Twitter and because they have their fingers in the asses of the Funimation cast for Dragon Ball Z, they feel much more grandiose and important than they actually are. Half of them are decent voice actors but they are completely carried by the weight that DBZA holds and the fact that they're more than likely pulling the plug after Episode 60 is just going to reveal that to them. The second they can that fish, nobody is going to care because they're not very versatile. Many of their roles are exactly the same and they won't be able to retain interest without the one thing anybody wants out of them. KaiserNeko and Lanipator are also massive lib-cucks on Twitter to an obnoxious degree so if anything you might get the most mileage for a thread out of that, but I doubt it. :offtopic:
 
I'm sorry to be offtopic, but while I had never watched something by Team Four Star I had head nothing but good things abour the DBZ Abridged series and what not. But after seeing that Final Fantasy skit I don't even want to touch anything made by them. That video was so unfunny it hurt.

In my mind the main appeal of DBZA is that it is an easy, accessible way to watch DBZ without actually having to watch the show. I'm amazed at the amount of people who genuinely believe that DBZA is a legitimately really good dub for Z, to the point where people think it is being better handled than Super. Which, of course, is nonsense since the Abridged series is adapting an already beloved anime for a new audience.

I agree that once the series ends the personalities involved are going to tank hard. Pretty much everyone involved stopped making Abridged series of their own in order to focus on DBZA, and that's going to bite them eventually. The show simply is not all that funny and relies almost entirely on the popularity of the original show to bring people in.

In short, it's vastly inferior to the original dub of Ghost Stories.
