That triforce mobile has always confused me. Chris wasn't obsessed with Zelda like he was with Sonic and Pokemon. I figured Chris wouldn't like Zelda because Hyrule and its many tribes would be too STRESSFUL to draw.

I'm actually thinking it's a kite. There's a barely-visible fourth pyramid in the back, and the color appears to be blue or possibly white.

While Chris was aware of Zelda, it's pretty clear he never really got into the franchise. Most likely, he played a game now or then and watched the DiC cartoon. Quite honestly, the games would be too damned hard for Chris without a walk through.

It looks more like an "art" project that gets commonly assigned in geometry classes. It's a tissue/paper-wrapped sculpture made of straws in the shape of various three-dimensional figures.
