Debated on where to post this since Digimon encompasses both it's anime and video games. (and the video games came first).

Since Alan Pardew and I sperged about digimon earlier in chat I thought about posting a thread to it.

So cwckiforums? What's your favorite digimon?

My favourite's still Patamon, but Gomamon is also one of my favourites when I rewatched the first series.

Might want to play Digimon MMO soon since I haven't touched it yet.

I like the Agumon evolutions from Savers.

I wish my copy of Digimon World 2 still worked. As a kid, I ddn't like the thought of sacrificing Digimon to make new ones with higher lvl caps. Also was against grinding, so I never finished the game.

Actually, the virtual pets came first, as a counterpart to Tamagotchi.

My friends had those in elementary school (I had a stupid nano cat). If you don't clean up after them enough they evolve into poop. They could also fight if you hooked them up.

Read somewhere that the series is gonna celebrate its 15th anniversary by having a sequel to the Digimon Adventures, supposedly 3 years after the Digimon Adventure 02 plot.

as I didn't really feel like watching season 3.

3 is actually the best in its own right. They gave the project to a guy who's known for making anime that goes off the rails in the best possible way.

I remember watching it back when it was on TV. I might have seen the movie in theatres. I need to re watch it. I also been interested in seeing Tamers since I heard a lot of good things about it.

A big reason why people like Tamers was it was really heavy on the character development side of the story, and the story itself was a lot more focused and in my opinion much darker than the prior ones. While I don't know if I prefer it to the original series, it was certainly loads better than the second one.
