Like others have stated the house is a status symbol, his ego cannot take it. I also think this is why he is no longer calling it a business, for the first time he sees failure and to offset this he is no longer referring to his youtube career as a business.

Downsizing might to him be admitting he bit off more than he can chew - and that he isn't popular enough (i.e. dwindling fast) to act as his ego wants him to. He has a narrative in his head that is collapsing like a house of cards and he can't rely on delusions to keep him warm.

I have no idea why Ginosaji & his earlier Twitch account "the__lunatic__fringe" were modded by DSP in the first place - after the Scarface 'FUUUUN' incident when he got annoyed at DSP not playing Scarface properly & ditching it, plus before that he was annoyed when PandaLee turned up during a prestream where he wasn't there & they mocked him for not being around to dump her Etsy store link in the chat... he wanted an apology, DSP even ranted at him in chat about it. These were both back on Rizon, well before Twitch in 2016.

So how long before that chat is only BSV and friends?

DSP did rant at BeThe, a new mod & long time chat user (since at least June 2015 for Batman Arkham Knight) a couple weeks ago for daring to remove bans:

Frankly Ginosaji did almost no modding in the Twitch chat anyway - he was sarcastic & if a random user had said half he said they'd have been banned quickly, so DSP removing him won't mean much.

Bobbi Ling from DSP's chat is a fucking moron. Picks fights with anybody that says a word of criticism regarding Phil then calls them SoK. No matter who they are, apparently.

So many people were guessing that Phil would make the SoK into his personal boogeyman, but it seems like his fans are doing it faster than he is. They're ahead of the curve.

Looks like Phil's most diehard hardcore-parkour fans have this weird gangstalking delusion about the SoK. Even if they fucking disbanded, but that disbanding was clearly just some tricks to make people go easy on the 'detractor' community or what not. In reality everyone near Phil is SoK. That cashier at McDonalds'/Burger King/Whatever who cards him? That guy is SoK and is looking to get Phil in as much trouble as possible. The postman? He's some SoK undercover agent who is propably fabricating fake letters to get Phil freak out.
In short, I'm really hoping there'd be "gangstalk saga" for Phil.

To clear this up, Bobbi_Ling has been calling detractors or people she suspects as detractors "soks" (yes, always lower case) since 2016. Only one reference in my Rizon logs for June 2015->February 2016, during this early MGS5 The Phantom Pain stream when DSP was leaving the YouTube stream chat enabled to help his engagement:

It was so commonplace by the return to Twitch that there's these few lines on his first stream back:

So NO, this is not a 'gangstalking' thing, this is a silly meme by one long term regular chat user who just calls anyone remotely negative about DSP a "sok".

DSP's fanbase is just as much a detriment to him as it is a benefit at this point. They constantly harp on about how "detractors" and "haters" are trying to destroy his livelihood, then immediately become hostile towards anybody outside of their circle who offers a differing opinion or constructive criticism. He's dependent on the same dozen or so cashcows to pay his bills every month but they're also a massive part of him being unable to gain a new audience.

Best part is they're not supposed to be talking about "haters" at all, it's the final rule on DSP's Twitch chat dating back to his 2013/14 days too. Fans always seem allowed to talk about them, but if a 'hater' dares do it then GTAB:

I know I'm preaching to the choir here. But its time for Phil to give up on the fighting games and FPS games.

One thing to remember is DSP 'grew up' playing fighting games in the arcades. He's used to 60fps, arcade controls, CRT displays with no lag & no online lag whatsoever. DSP seems to want these fighting games with online play to have virtually zero delay so he can play reactionary, which seems absurd to me. He'll be doing well to get a 50ms ping to west coast players, and that's already 3 frames delay for 60fps. I noticed DBFZ showing it between 6 & 8 frame delay for some of his matches, or 100-133ms.

One problem with you suggestion. It would take effort. You have to remember just how lazy Phil is. I'm being completely serious here. Hiring a property management company, getting approval to lease from association management, moving his stuff, finding a place, traveling there to check it out first, etc.

DSP did try to rent out the condo apparently, but we need some history. First during the "WISH I Had Good News" January 2017 business update he claimed he couldn't rent it because he couldn't get his parents to act as supers.

I was going to say this was a response to the trademark trolling attempt in 2013? where someone tried to trademark DSPGaming... but this is the end of 2010 he filed it - after being booted from blip but before he got his Machinima YouTube partnership, while he was trying to turn making YouTube gameplay videos into his "business". I see he claims he first used the 'trademark' DarksydePhil in 2002, and that he is "providing non-downloadable videos"... you wish DSP.

His father was his manager for the first several years at the helicopter company. After that, he got transferred internally several times and got fired after just one month in his final position there. My guess is that he would have gotten fired sooner but his dad kept intervening to get him reassigned instead, and eventually his luck/his dad's credibility ran out.

Phil's stories about how and why he left the helicopter company are also just unbelievable: To hear him tell it, he was a perfect employee and everybody loved him but he got laid off on less than one month's notice anyways. Helicopter Support is a large company, if there were layoffs happening (there weren't, I looked it up) his final manager there would have known in advance and would not have wasted his/her time hiring someone for a position that was about to be phased out.

One thing I've noticed with Phil is that the amount he lies/exaggerates increases with how ugly the truth is (e.g. claiming to be valedictorian when he never graduated), so he probably fucked up severely at the helicopter job and this is the lie he tells himself to ignore reality. It's hard to overstate how bad you have to screw up to get fired after less than a month, especially if your previous 5-odd years with the company were generally good.

Clocking in twenty minutes late and rambling about traffic and having to get out of bed and his gout for thirty minutes before actually working. Probably complaints about 'pounding the fuck out of' his supervisors for highlighting issues.

Yeah this one I can't understand either, he's living in a house which would be plenty for a family of 6-7 people. Living alone in such a large house when you have a financial crisis on a monthly basis is baffling.

Judging from his entirely loose grasp on DMCA or how the law in general works I don't think he's smart enough to go "hey that name is infringing on my copyright in a slanderous way" that or he's too lazy to "stick to his guns" and make a big deal about it.

I think he will need to fix his HVAC unit and that leak and who knows if there is mold. That is costly and Phil was a retard in not having someone inspect the property before buying it. He will not be lucky enough to find some rube to hand him over 350k for a home that has two costly fixes ahead of it, also new paint jobs, through cleaning of the home to show it etc etc, he will not make 100k even if he sold it, less all the repairs and cleaning and moving expenses he is lucky if he has anything left. Mind you, he hasnt even set foot in the attic since he got the place or the crawl space and seems to get a lot of spider visitors too. For all we know there is a nest under the house. And god knows whats up in the attic. The inspector will find all of this and it will need to be fixed and addressed before selling.
